The rooms are nicely furnished, extremely clean, and very spacious. Staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast options were unusually good for a hotel in the US. We really enjoyed how the breakfast options changed each day -- one day they offered tamales! This is certainly one of the nicest options in town (if not the best).

Great location. Room furniture and carpet were a bit outdated. No issues during our stay.

Rooms: The rooms are outdated, and should be renovated that goes for the carpet too.Food & drinks: The waffles are great and they have a variety of juices, but for the rest the breakfast its far from good.Noteworthy details: The front desk attendants were overly polite, we mainly saw Samara in the evenings and she was very nice to us and my kids the washers weren’t properly working so she helped is with that and returned our clothes to our room. In the morning my husband’s swim suit was still wet so I headed downstairs and asked Savanna ( I might have her name wrong) if she could dry his clothes please and she helped us with that.

Place was really awful. Outdated is an understatement. Dirty, musty, old, broken, and way overpriced. I’m concerned about bedbugs staying at this place, might burn my belongings. On a positive note the location is nice. Review Revision dated 1/29/24 and in response to Managements rebuttal: After management called me today and was displeased with me taking to social media to leave a negative review instead of making the front desk aware of all my issues during my stay I find it important to be more detailed with my stay. On Saturday January 27th I purchased 2 rooms for $177.83 each (2 queen beds in each). My family and I checked in at approx. 8:25PM. There was one front desk associate and she was nice and quick. There were no issues with check in. I did over hear her mention to another group that there was only 3 rooms left in the entire hotel for the night. Once we walked into our rooms one smelled old and musty like stale cigarettes and the other like onions or maybe even like a Burger King. One light was bright the other was warm, the couch looked like it was from the 80s, the colors and the drapes from the 90s. This coupled with the smell just gives you the sense of overused, old, and dirty. In my room we immediately noticed the fridge was not cold or working so I put the things back in the cooler bag. At this point I am trying to lead the family in keeping a positive attitude and not sweating the small stuff (only one night right). I go to take shower and think old, I notice cracked tiles, cracked caulking, and the tub spout coming out of the wall at an angle (I think to myself I can’t believe I paid over $100 for this room, but let’s stay positive). The good thing about the shower was the water pressure. I get out of the shower and dry off with the ruff low quality shower towel (management wants specifics) and head to bed. The TV remote was cracked and did not work so I examined it and determined that one battery was missing and was able to snap it back together and then found the missing battery in the bed and put that in as well, it worked but it is still broken and needs to be replaced (no big deal it worked). Next when it was bed time it was warm in the room so we turned to AC unit to cool at 64 and nothing happened. I figured it would just take time to kick on and after a few minutes it did and it started out low and normal sounding but then a few minutes later it turned into a roaring and then back to normal and then back to roaring all night long. I guess management wanted me to call the front desk and report this like there would have been a reasonable simple solution at 10:30 at night when no other rooms are available and my 4 yr old if finally sleeping. After extreme exhaustion and finally falling asleep I am woken up around 12:30 to what sounded like a large family above jumping around but realistically I’m sure they were just moving around normally and the hotel is old and has thin walls and ceilings without descent insulation. Tried to go back to sleep but once I was up I notice the loud talking and laughing coming from what seemed to be a large group from across the hall and then loud music that would come off and on from a room beside us, this went on until around 6am. Again, I guess management expected me to call the front desk and complain to the nice older front desk attendant and ask her to go knocking on doors and telling adults to keep it down. I was able to sleep from about 6-8AM before the movement of the hotel coupled with the thin walls woke me up again. I got up and decided to try out the continental breakfast which turned out to be good, it was a better than average. Then headed up to get ready for the day, pack, and leave. While I was brushing my teeth my mother who was across the hall knocks on my door with my 4 yr old held in her arms crying and her foot bleeding where she sliced it on the broken tile in their room. It was fine it didn’t need stitches, after a few minutes and a paw patrol band aid she stopped crying. We packed and got out of there! Here is your specifics management!

Our mattress was TERRIBLE. I would be glad to wake up in the morning just to get out of bed- hard and lumpy. (Room 113) They definitely need new mattresses!Everything else was great. Staff at the desk was welcoming and helped us with whatever we needed. Maintenance guy came and fixed our TV which was very dark. (recommendation: replace the LITTLE room televisions with bigger smart TVs and drop Direct TV. Let customers use their own streaming services! Commercials stink! ) Towels, both bath and swim, were white, soft and fluffy. Had a makeup towel... great idea. Breakfast was really nice to wake up to. Hot and different menu daily. No charge parking. Every time that you return to the hotel, you must reconnect to the wifi. Rooms were clean- housekeeping does a good job. Pool and hot tub clean and a warm temperatures. Easy access to everything in town- the hotel is located right as one gets into town from Alamogordo/Tularosa area. Bright lighting in the bathroom was good to get ready (makeup and hair). Will return (AFTER they get better mattresses! Lol) Decent 5 day stay.Nearby activities: Close to town- restaurants, bars/ dancing, shopping-and recreational areas- forest, lakes, streams, hiking

Wonderful experience! Rose, the Manager is on top of everything. The hotel is one of the cleanest I've been in! Housekeeping was amazing! I don't eat breakfast, but my husband loved it! We were there for 6 nights. Kudos to front desk staff, and everyone we came in contact with. The grounds are beautiful! Thank you Rose and staff for such a great experience! We will see y'all again.

When we arrived to the hotel, the front desk lady was rude, and not only once but twice. Then after the lady told us the room wasn't ready, we decided to go town since the room was suppose to be ready at 4pm. Like by 2:30 pm i was sent a confirmation that the room was ready and asked at what time we would arrive and confirmed a time. So when we got there the room wasn't ready yet. I told the lady about the confirmation and said that was just a preregistration form and that the room wasn't ready until 4 pm. Once we were given the room, it wasn't as seen on the website pictures. The door to our room 104, was badly fixed. It was hard to open due to the bad doorknob but the door was very loose that someone could bust it open. The bed was really badly made, the TV didn't work and the TV's volume didn't work either once it the tv was fixed. We had a view to the pool, not to the beautiful view the upper rooms have. There wasn't any shampoo, body wash, or conditioner in the dispensers. The towels were rough and one even had a yellow stain. The coffee machine didn't work and when fixed, the coffee did not taste good at all. The hall smelled like cigarettes and it was supposedly a non smoking area. The pool was decent and so was the hot tub. Only thing is the rooms that face to the pool, hsve windows that the people dtaying there, can see the people in the pool and so there was a man staring at my friends and myself snd made us uncomfortable. The only good people that we encounter there were the only ladies that were nice to us, a lady who helped us to open the door and told us to change the keys because they weren't working, the lady who patiently fixed the TV and the lady that was cleaning the tables in the dinning room in the morning at breakfast. In my experience, it's not worth the amount we paid for one night in a not so lovely room. We will no longer stay in this hotel.

Management does not care of issues reported. Some staffers worked hard and some was worthless and could careless and very disrespectful.

Best hotel in my opinion for its amenities, the multi level patio deck has the best view. It’s a nice spot to sit and chill ax and smoke a j… local dispensaries make it easy to restock if need be. Lots of free access to the National park, and several shopping outlets to check out downtown.Nearby activities: Shopping, hiking, exploring, arts
