Amazing little gem in Ruidoso. They definitely take pride in the food and it shows. Also the patio out back is pretty amazing. Great view of the river and just tucked far enough back so that you can't hear the road in front. We tried the cheeseburger and BLT (added green chili's) and woah, the better burger in Ruidoso we have found out. Juicy and full of flavor. Also the prices are beyond fair. We were also lucky enough to get to try the grilled peach cobbler, it was nothing short than ridiculously good. Front of house was very nice but Gloria our server was very sweet and great conversation. Can't wait to come back and support local.

Stayed in the village for the week, on the second attempt at trying this place (was closed the first time), come to find that at noon they have zero brunch type options. Oh well, we ordered mimosas anyway since we had taken the time to stop and unload the dogs - which they are dog friendly btw. Bonus. We were the only customers and it took forever to get our overpriced undersized mimosas in plastic cups. Not a direct fault of the owner or server, but one of the employees' unleashed dogs ran to ours which were tied up at the table, spilling one our mimosas on the deck. No acknowledgment from staff to replace the drink. I killed my mimosa and we abruptly left. Beautiful patio, great view, lovely setting. Not sure if this place has only recently opened, but it certainly seems to be run by amateur restaurateurs. Give it some time maybe, who knows.

This was a surprise delight on the way out of town. The location is tucked away in the trees on Suddereth, just east of midtown across the street from the turn off to Inn of the Mountain Gods. The back of the property overlooks the river and you can see it if you dine outside. The inside has an eclectic cozy house vibe and fireplace. It's not very big inside and the kitchen looks tiny, but they turn out some great food! We opted for sitting outside because a rain came through and we wanted to enjoy to cool mountain air before returning to the Texas heat in July. The patio outside was perfect. It's referred to as the River Rendezvous. They had live music and advertised beer and wine. We were there for a quick early lunch, but we will return to enjoy some drinks on the patio during our next trip. After telling him the food was delicious, our server (who was courteous and working hard), eventually introduced himself as the newly hired chef. I'm not one to get excited about burgers, but the bacon cheeseburger was fantastic. My husband loved the Big Daddy Burger, which has bacon, cheese, and green chili. The chef explained that he marinates the beef in an au jus sauce for the flavor. At his recommendation, we tried his new spinach, artichoke, and crab dip. It was also delicious. Service was great. Ambiance was great. Food was great. I wish we had stopped here earlier during our trip.

Waited 20-30 minutes our table was not acknowledged. Totally understand staff might be short due to Covid but minimum our drinks could have been taken, then people that came after us the order was taken for them. Decided just to leave at that point!

Loved this spot for a quiet lunch. Patio dining was perfect. Chef and hostess were amazing. The big daddy burger was phenomenal as were the fries. My favorite was the spinach artichoke dip! What a wonderful experience!
