I scheduled my car pick-up for the wrong day and even though there were no cars available in the size we requested they were able to make it work for us. Mike and Rafael were very helpful! Mike even personally brought us the car so we wouldn’t have to wait for the shuttle to finish refueling.

We flew into Santa Fe airport for our honeymoon. Unfortunately our previous rental, through Hertz, was not honored. Michael went above and beyond to get us in a vehicle for the day so that we weren't stuck at the airport. Saved our honeymoon - give this man a raise!!Our return of the rental went flawlessly too, with May assisting in the drop off. Rock star job!

This was the most horrific experience I have had with any rental car company. I waited for over 90 minutes, 30 to get the car, only to be told that the car was not registered in my name. They would not switch the car into my name and needed to get a cab. I nearly missed the family celebration that I flew into attend. Never, ever, ever rent from Budget. They are atrocious.

Rachel, the agent is beyond rude. I have seen her call people liars, while I waited in line. There was no one at the desk with people waiting in the office. When another renter commented she came out of the office and called him a liar. While I waited for a pickup she gave several other renters rude answers. Several asked her why she was behaving in this manner. We experienced this behavior on picking up and droping off the vehicle. We will never rent here again. Several others said the same.

Absolutely atrocious customer service at this location. Rude and unhelpful. Online will take payment and give a confirmation number for same day rental at a specific location and then the location it's reserved at will say it has to be done 24 hours in advance. Rude and unhelpful, argues and talks over customers. It seems there is a disconnect between the national and local organization and the counter service lady was outright hostile when asking any questions.I rent 10+ cars a year from multiple agencies, absolutely the worst counter person I've come across in years.

Tried to discuss a service code for a rental car. Was unable to talk to anyone. One customer in line had been waiting for an hour. The couple at the head of the line had to start the rental process again when a credit card was declined

After waiting at the airport location for an hour (which was supposed to be open, but wasn't), we decided to go see if this location could help us. Rachel immediately was extremely rude and unhelpful. She told us that the airport location had staff there, we said no they don't we just came from there. She said "I've been talking to them all morning" so we asked if she could tell them to open the desk to give us our car, then she said they hadn't actually answered her calls.I also informed her that her phone wasn't working because we had tried calling and she couldn't hear us. She said she answers the phone and holds it away from her ear. We then spent hours trying to find another car and had to delay our road trip by a day because of Budget's incompetence.

I would give 0 stars if possible. Took the 10 minutes to even acknowledge us and another 5 before they started to help us. Very unprofessional and passive aggressive behavior during the entire process. Truck was not only heavily damaged but also filthy. We even got attitude when we requested they document the damage to the truck. We are traveling 2000 miles in this truck, hopefully it will get us there. Overcharged us and would not adjust even though I had a quote. The 800 number does not work, so I can’t even request a refund. I always expect bad service from these people, but this was unbelievably awful. Save your self the headache and rent from anyone else!

We rented a Lexus for a 3,000 mile round trip road trip from New Mexico to the Oregon coast. The car was fantastic, mileage was great, and it was so comfortable. Will definitely use Budget again for our rental cars.

Arrived in Santa Fe late in the evening and Michael was waiting for me at the Budget counter. What a lovely welcome! He was courteous, friendly, helpful and very happy to offer directions and suggestions for my stay in Santa Fe. You're lucky to have him as an employee . . . just a wonderful experience! Thank you.

DON'T trust these specimens with anything even slightly important. When I showed up on time for the moving truck I'd reserved, they told me it wouldn't be ready for 2 more hours. The rep at the counter also gave the impression that I should feel lucky she was even talking to me instead of keeping her head buried in the computer. Then the owner showed up, and started MOCKING me. When I was upset that they weren't honoring their agreement, he sniggered to the counter rep "Sounds like someone's having a bad day," and they both laughed. I said I'd complain to the company and he said "They don't care, I can do what I want."And last, when I finally did get my truck, they demanded a $600 deposit to use it.AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

I rented a Kia Soul for its Cargo volume: 24.2 ft³, 62.1 ft³. The budget employee was extremely rude and said I had to pay an additional $350, handed me the key to a Chevrolet Malibu, and tried to tell me it was an upgrade with more cargo space. Chevy Malibu Cargo volume is 15.7 ft³. At the same time, a woman was online with Budget to report the same experience I had. I requested a refund, and the budget employee told me the transaction would be voided but refused to provide any refund receipt or her name. I have not been refunded for the original $400 rental and additional $350. I had to cancel my trip, which meant extra lost money for the Airbnb I rented. Do not rent from Budget!

We reserved a car through Budget and were told that the car would be ready at 9:30am. When I arrived to pick up the car the staff member told me to come back at noon. When I arrived at noon, there was another customer waiting at the closed Budget counter who told me that the staff member was out at the cars and would not be back until the next flight arrived in 40 minutes. After waiting half an hour, my husband called the main office and they said she would be at the counter in 5 minutes. Fifteen plus minutes later, the same woman who told me to come back at noon finally opened up the counter at a little before 1pm. There was a handwritten sign that cars are not being washed due to Santa Fe's water restrictions. I asked about that as there are no water restrictions in the winter. She said that they didn't have access to water. Here is the car they offered us.
