We were some of Dr. Byrne's very first clients when he opened his clinic. We were always very well taken care of over the years he was there. Unfortunately, since he sold the practice, turnover has been terrible and they are CLOSED on Saturday! If you need an extra day to be closed, why not a Monday? And forget about getting the rx food you need...they are ALWAYS out...the higher ups just don't get it. I will say I absolutely LOVE Joey back in the boarding facility, and Dr. Garcia and Dr. Martin are both good, caring docs. But I wish some entity that actually LIKED animals would purchase the clinic. I am seriously thinking of changing practices

I can't thank Eldorado Animal Clinic and Dr Garcia enough. They got me in the same day because of a puppy emergency, and got him all fixed up!!!!!

What a disaster. Dr. Byrne built a wonderful practice and took care of our animals for 30 years. We called today with a medical emergency and were told to take our dog to an urgent care facility and were unwilling to consider making an appointment in the next couple of days. This is not the first time we've had this sort of response though not with this serious a situation. Basically, they operate in a rigid framework and have no flexibility to help customers out. I don't believe it's the people at the firm. It's the corporate structure. I compare that to the time one of our dogs sliced some skin away from her leg. We were an hour or more away on a local trail. Murt's office said bring her in and he saw her when we got there. Update: After my wife called and expressed our displeasure, a cancellation magically opened this afternoon. Not changing my rating. Our doctor experience has been ok. The bureaucracy destroys that experience.

When Dr Mert owned this Clinic it was a 5 * vet clinic. Now, no one running the show. They have a new system and appointments ate list, they are short staffed and just do not care. Last appointment the vet was late, did care about the dog, just get us in and out. Now, after receiving over 10 emails about needing an appointment and post cards. No appointment. New system. I am done. Keep hiring those chickadees who are not trained and don't care.

Dr. Martin is a down to earth, straight talking gem of a vet! We just moved to Santa Fe and after going to a vet in town, which was a horrible experience, we are thrilled we found Eldorado. They really seem to care...and remarkable as it is these days, wont rip you off in the process. Kind, experienced and were very aware of our specific concerns and needs, prior to, during and after a surgery. Been to many vets over the years...it doesn't get better than this place!

Ironically my neighbor was there on the same day and is changing Vets too. Guess the 4 stars were put out there by the staff. They were in the back hallway talking about not wanting to go into a room. One said tell her we quit and there is no one available. They really do need to quit. The atmosphere was like a high school pep rally. They were rude when asked any question that stopped their play. The Dr had no files. He asked "What are we doing". I had told the tech. Dr said he wanted to confirm. He should have been regurgitating the information. He looked stoned. Ignored 2 things I wanted checked. A bill for $500 with his "time" at 72$ a visit. They were closed for 3 weeks...let's go for permanent.

Dr was very quick, didn't seem very informative. Just kept saying idk. Took our pup in for what we thought was a cyst, he squeezed it, said idk and that he prob will get more of them. But we do appreciate them getting us in last minute.

I had to reschedule my dogs surgery, due to a family emergency. I was told i would be called for a rescheduling date. After no call, I called four times, and was told the person in charge of surgery dates would get back to me. No response. I went to another animal clinic in Santa Fe. They were polite, kind, and very professional. I also saved $300 on the surgery!

I have been a client for 18 years. I switched do to several recommendations for Murt Burnes, owner. He sold the practice a couple of years ago and since then it gas sold 2 more times. Each time the service has been degraded and now it is the worst yet. Recently I was blatantly lied to about sending referrals to a specislists, twice. Murt has left and he was the last vestige of a good practice. I will be changing vets. Crappy service, misinformation and poor diagnostics we I'll catch up with this clinic. It will not be here another 18 years. Thanks to Murt for all of your diligent service. You will be missed.
