With its variety of works by various artists and kimonos that themselves are works of art, Santa Fe’s Gaia Gallery is an exceptional stop on any Canyon Road art walk. Its director Andrea Wexler is gracious, helpful and a fountain of information on local arts and history.

From Gaia Contemporary Santa Fe
Gaia Contemporary was established in 2021 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Santa Fe is the largest art market in the United States after New York, and per-capita, the largest art market in the world. Located in the heart of the art historical district, Gaia Contemporary focuses on sculpture, painting, jewelry, photography, art furniture, and Japanese antiquities. The founders of the gallery, an American lawyer and his Japanese wife, have a deep cultural interest in Japan and divide their time between Santa Fe and Tokyo. Their affinity for Western aesthetics and Japanese minimalism was the motivation for launching the gallery. Through the interweaving of these two cultures, Gaia Contemporary offers a unique and fresh vision.
