I had a horrible experience with rivers after I couldn’t pay, he close my thing which is fine anyways, I went back and paid what I had owed the federal and he didn’t ask for my bank account. He did everything without me being there, and we signed papers and then mailed me a check I do not recommend it go somewhere else you’ll be better off.

Wish I didn’t have to leave a star at all. Do not.. I repeat. DO NOT give these people your money or personal information. I had a few years filed with them and not only was that a horrible experience. I never received some of my returns. Trying to get in contact with anyone at the company is just a nightmare. Then to add more fuel to the fire. I got a letter last week from Tax and Rev letting me know that the information that was given to them was incorrect and miscalculated. So save yourself the trouble and loss of sleep. Go anywhere else but to H&R.

I’m extremely unhappy with the service here… First of all, I showed up 15 min early, my appointment was at 7. I took a seat and waited, thinking I’d be helped soon because it was pretty empty. Another guy comes in, and it sounds like he didn’t have an appointment scheduled but was told he should have come in today. Maybe they made a scheduling error? They help him right away and told me I was next and it would be a few minutes. That’s fine, I really don’t mind waiting, but I thought it was weird because I was the one with a scheduled appointment. Then it was 7:30. I was waiting an additional 30 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start. My mom came in and we decided to leave because it was absolutely ridiculous I had to wait so long. I talked to the lady at the front desk and she said I could leave my tax things and I could pick it up the next day. Ok, whatever, I wish she told that to me while I was waiting for so long. My mom then asked how much filing my taxes would be (a question I honestly should have asked sooner) and she told me because I was filing w-10s, it would be between $170-$250. That much??? Just for two w-10s?? I might not know much, but how can it be that expensive?? I’m glad I left, I would much rather take my business elsewhere.Come here if you want to waste your time!

H&R Block set up payment vouchers for my Federal Taxes and told me to mail out the first voucher which I did immediately after my appointment. My State Taxes were paid in full by debiting my checking account. This was the plan. The following Monday the IRS withdrew the entire amount owed from my checking account and the check I had sent was cashed. I had no money left. When I called H&R Block they seemed confused and told me there was nothing they could do to help me and that I had to wait for a letter from the IRS explaining why they did this. I never authorized this and I am still trying to get someone in authority to explain what they did. I now am owed $1000 by the IRS . H&R Block takes you money to prepare you taxes and then runs away when they screw up. I would love to have some answers and my money back.Update 4/22/2022: I called the number H&R Block provided in response to my negative review. A phone call appointment was scheduled for today with Oscar at 10am. No one called me. I called and scheduled an in person appointment today at the Cerrillos Road location with Sandra. I received a phone call about an hour later from someone at H&R Block stating I would have to reschedule because their office is not open on Fridays. Why would H&R Block schedule me for an appointment at an office that is not open? I was told this time that a manager named Monica would call me Tuesday morning. We shall see if this happens. I asked about getting my money back for the overpayment to the IRS and was told I had to contact the IRS directly, they could not do it. I also asked about H&R’s $300+ fees for preparing my taxes, which clearly Carter Vineyard had not done properly. He gave the IRS my banking info to deplete my account before a scheduled trip out of state and he had me set up estimated vouchers payments which caused me to pay an additional payment of $1000 which I now need to try and get back on my own. What has happened to the professionalism and doing things right? This was my third year with H& R Block. They really put me in a bad situation. I hope this Manager Monica can make things right. If I could give negative stars I would.

Your master tax advisor couldn't advise that children's (minors) survivors benefits are not the parents (me) tax liability and that it is only taxable if the child's income was more than $25,000.00. I now have to pay you again to file an amendment.

Because yall do awesome with the Taxes and yall explain yourself how things are going to go and how things are going to be and that's the most important thing that people need to know especially about doing taxes that are not able to understand them or comprehend
