The workers at the coop are some of the rudest, unkind, condescending people in all of America. The cashiers don’t say hi if anything at all. Won’t look you in the eye, even. And are total jerks the whole time. I don’t know if they purposely make the experience unpleasant for poc or nonmembers but they’re extremely successful at it.

Wonderful store - great food, great selection, including New Mexico products. You don't have to be a member to shop here, but I'm proud to be a lifetime member.

I work for a small delivery company and every morning we call them to see if they can send us a picture of our 2 coolers to see what they need because we are based in Albuquerque, they are extremely rude and very unprofessional. I don’t know who contact about this issue, would it be the store manager?

I visited this grocery store specifically for raw milk. I found it offers many local fruits, veggies, honey, eggs, and milk, among other items. These types of stores are usually much higher than other grocery stores, but I found their prices reasonable for local, fresh foods.

pretty sure i got food poisoning from the deli in the back where the COOP makes sandwiches. felt fine all day, ate my sandwich, which the COOP also messed up, then at midnight it hit me. Vomiting all night and day. It was rough.I'll definitely be passing COOP for long while.

Highly recommend for items not found easily elsewhere! La Montanita is a great spot for special dietary needs. It's not inexpensive so be prepared.

Most of the reviews here are pretty old, so I will assume that things have changed. This is a large co-op with a huge range of products. They stock the normal products you find at most co-ops, have a deli with vegan wraps/salads, have a range of vegan baked goods, and the prices seem fairly standard.
There was no issue with my out-of-state membership and my experience was great.

We love the Coop for Kombucha & local: breads. We bought Native American Ground beef that was surprisingly well priced. The variety & quality of their produce is great & some of it is even affordable! We also found good deals in yoghurt & Feta!Above all you cannot beat the ambience!Love the friendly efficient cashier Sheree from New Zealand! We will be back!

I love Santa Fe. I've been coming here multiple times each year to visit for about 30 years but I live in Medford, Oregon. Medford is pretty much in the middle of nowhere being 6 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area and 4 hours from the Portland-Vancouver Area. We have a GREAT co-op, the Medford Food Co-op, owned by all of us members. It's the very best 100% ORGANIC produce I've ever seen except for the 100% ORGANIC kiosk in Oxbow Market in Napa, California. They're both superb. Prices in both are much lower than in this co-op -- and vibrantly fresh. Medford is about 20 minutes from Ashland, Oregon where I am also a member of the Ashland Food Co-op, also owned by all the members. It also has great meat and produce at prices much less than this co-op. Both have involved Board members and are extremely well-managed. No disrespect intended at all; however, I think this co-op might want to learn from them HOW they do the amazing things they do. Santa Fe is a foodie town and many restaurants here are world-class so great food IS available. Surprisingly the grocery stores here don't compare at all in the quality of the food they sell. This means there is a real market niche for a well-managed co-op to "own" the market. I challenge you to learn and grow. Best of luck to you!

I feel honestly bad rating this place so low because I do love the food (amazing soup!) but like…. Dude… Covid mania still? Masks everywhere? No one wants to be reminded of 3 years of insanity with plastic barriers (NYTimes article says they actually do more harm than any good). In the words of Anthony Fauci, “From a broad public-health standpoint, at the population level, masks work at the margins – maybe 10 percent.”This sort of consciousness now scares me. It’s representative of an addiction beyond any normal ideology. We learned to take vitamins and exercise and don’t be obese—are y’all really just gonna keep an employee only section forever?

Worst deli in Santa Fe. What happened? Used to be fantastic. Oh right. You ran the woman who ran it off. I forgot. It’s amusing to see so many similar comments as mine and the managers canned response alluding to the fact that we’re all wrong.

Fresh inventory, fair prices, and by far, the friendliest and most helpful staff in Santa Fe…it’s your one-stop-shop for wholesome food.?
