I've taken my 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe to Master Tech for several years and they've always done a wonderful job. They keep the most detailed service notes on my car I've ever seen anywhere. Ari, the owner, usually calls personally to go over my service, and Amy, who runs the front desk, is extremely personable and helpful. They do keep the car longer than some other shops but I see that as what it takes to do the job right. I am leaving Santa Fe and am genuinely sad to be saying goodbye to the reliability and honesty I could always count on from Master Tech.

We had a great experience at Master Tech. Everyone was so friendly and upfront about mechanical issues with the car, and price. Highly recommend.

Amy and Ari were great. We’re from Colorado and broke down South of Santa Fe. We had the car towed to the shop and Ari was able to diagnose the problem and repair it (loose hose to the turbo). When he test drove it he found another issue when the car accelerated. We’ve had this issue since we purchased it. He replaced a solenoid and the car runs great now. Great service and quality repair work.Services: General repairs & maintenance

I took my vehicle in to have a problem diagnosed and fixed. Amy was extremely friendly and assure me Ari would take care of it. Ari called me when he found the issue and took care of it in a timely manner and at a fair price. Most of all, these people were friendly, fair, and HONEST! I definitely recommend Master Auto Tech!

(This is actually written by Carl.) The specific work performed was mounting a gauge pod on the dash of a 2013 Mustang GT and installing a set of gauges. Overall, Master Tech does an outstanding job on your vehicle. They do a thorough and complete job with great attention to detail. The job will be done right. Their customer service is also excellent. Amy is very complete obtaining necessary information to schedule an appointment. Ari takes a personal interest in confirming required repairs or modifications to the vehicle. He explains all aspects of the job, and listens to your questions or concerns. He will provide answers and a detailed explanation in an understandable manner. This continues until after you pick up your vehicle with a high level of quality work performed.Service: Electrical

Ari spent 30+ minutes explaining the work he did to get my $1,000 van running and driving me around the block for an even more thorough explanation of additional issues needing repair. One of a kind.Services: Transmission

My older Ford 250 truck started misfiring at speed. Three trips to the Ford dealer and $500 yielded absolutely no solution. Took it to Master Tech Auto Repair in Santa Fe and within 30 minutes owner Ari Gordon had found the trouble - a broken spark plug. Since then I've taken the truck there about half a dozen times with issues from routine maintenance to a mouse infection. Every single time the issues were addressed professionally and on time. They even paid for an Uber to get me home when I had to leave the truck. Great customer service and great mechanical skills. Highly recommend this business.

The owner was super kind and friendly! (So was the front desk receptionist) it seems they have a lot of regulars and are incredibly welcoming. Casey the owner was kind enough to take a look at my car when my boyfriend and I stopped in Santa Fe during our roadtrip! After stopping in, we felt a lot better proceeding on our trip (and made it to our destination) and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable car place!

Master tech Auto repair is an oasis in a troublesome world. Ari the owner has more character and compassion than anyone in this business. I would especially like to single out Amy - Ari's front office manager for exceptional professionalism and grace and kindness. She is everybody's friend. Kudos to Masterytech Auto for caring about its customers.... Gilbert

Ari was very personable. He was able to perform a repair on a truck that a different auto repair facility damaged. His invoice detailing clearly what work needed to be done, he went over everything he had done. A great experience with a real professional business owner! I highly recommend Master Tech Auto Repair.

My dad took his ford ranger here for a new transmission a few years ago. It had extremely low miles for the year of the truck. $4000 later for a rebuild transmission my dads truck was not fixed. It kept breaking down. After the THIRD time taking It back (one time had to be towed) possibly a 4th time, my poor parents had lost trust in this mechanic and their work they provided on the truck. They gave my parents the option for them to put the old transmission back and refund them or try to continue to fix the transmission they put in. At this time my mother was diagnosed with cancer and my parents needed a vehicle to go to dr appointments and didn’t have the time nor any more money ($4000 was not a small price) to deal with this issue. I feel Ari was unsympathetic and did not back his work. Later we found out that ford dealership would’ve charged them the same price!!!! I would never recommend this place because I witnessed the stress ,aggravation and lost time my parents went through. Take your vehicle to the dealership because at least they fix It correctly and if not it’s guaranteed and they make good on their mistakes if there are issues.Service: Transmission

I do not like to write negative reviews but I feel I have a responsibility to warn people about this establish as I have never been ripped-off so badly in my life. Ok, here we go. I brought my 2011 Ranger in for new brakes. The owner called me quoted a price and specifically said that it didn't look like I needed new rotors so he quoted me a price below 500 or so. He also noticed that the lock mechanism and for handle had been stripped from the passenger door and he said he could get the part and repair for what seemed like a good price as I had already been quoted a price from another mechanic. He called the next day to say that the price for the door part was almost double what he quoted so I told him NOT to fix it and I'd wait. I showed up the next day to pick up my truck. There was a long line inside. The owner is in and out of the waiting room- there is some discussion between him and the secretary, who then gives me my invoice, which turns out to be double what he had said. He had gone ahead and charged me somewhere around $250 to take off the interior passenger door panel (which is plastic and attaches with clips). Additionally, the price for replacing the brakes was a couple hundred more than quoted. I told the secretary I wanted to speak with him- she got very agitated and told me I'd have to wait if I wanted to dispute the bill. After 30 minutes he returned- I said I told you not to replace the door handle you didn't even order the part so why are you changing me to take off the door? (I honestly believe that he saw me arrive and told one of his mechanics to snap off the door panel so I'd be roped into getting it fixed). When I asked him about the increase in the price for replacing the brakes he said, "oh that's because we had to install new ball bearings." I said well don't you always do that when you replace brakes. He got very angry with me accused me of not paying for labor. I said fine I'll pay for the "increase" in the price of the brakes. But why would I pay for labor I specifically did not authorize and is not even finished. He said he would take off the labor for the door panel. I waiting another 30 minutes while he goes to the back to fix the invoice. When the secretary comes back with the invoice the 250 (roughly) charge is still there, he had taken off something else. So he comes back I have to wait again. By the time I got out of there, I think I paid upwards of 700 for a brake replacement I had anticipated to be less than 500.

While traveling and 1500 miles from home with many more miles yet to travel, our tow vehicle developed a worsening oil leak. Our first thought was to go to Santa Fe’s local Ford Dealership. They were typically nonsympathetic and said it would be 3 weeks before they could work us in. After talking to several other shops in town and getting the same timeframe response we discovered MasterTech.
