Went in to stop paper statements (and the monthly charge) on a business account I had just taken over. The bank said they couldn’t do it and that I had to do it on line. Tried to log in. Access denied. (Former mgr didn’t have a computer and did everything on paper.) Spent almost half an hour on the phone with their tech support. No success. She said the problem seemed to be that the account was set up as a DBA. Said she would get back to me. Hasn’t. And it’s now been over a week. Called again. No better result. Will change banks. Must have online access!

The branch on Paseo de Peralta is great; friendly and helpful. They know my name, and have fixed any issues I’ve ever had quickly. The branch on St. Michael’s is usually gut wrenching. Once I went the drive through 5 minutes before they closed. I sat in my car waiting for help, they were watching me and then they closed. This is just one example, I have a handful of bad experiences at this branch. Best case scenario there is complete mediocrity. Go to Paseo if you need customer service.

The staff is professional yet they know me by my first name. It reminds me of how banking use to be.

With the lobby closed,I am only able to use the drive up and have to walk up since I don't have a.vehicle. afraid I will get hit, and I'm not a fan of having people in cars overhear my business. Is the lobby open now or what ?

Always always wait at drive in window. Terrible customer service. One car three cars 10 cars, doesn't matter... aways waiting.

I wish I would have never opened an acct at NMB&T. I am from out of state and needed a checking acct to pay bills while in Santa Fe. I told the teller, Ruth it would be a short term acct and that I would be out of state in a month and would need to close the acct at that time. I was never able to log in to online banking, either on my phone or on my laptop and for that reason have been charged an additional fee!! When I call the branch to explain, I am brushed aside and given a 1 800 # that does not even work. I have sent a check in the mail 2 weeks ago and have had to call numerous times to check if it has received. Communication, customer service and online banking here at this bank is terrible. I don't know what else they could do that would be worse.

My husband has a large construction company and has been with this bank for 8 years. He recently had a horrible experience with them. He had $8,000 drawn out of his account with forged checks. They were not his checks, but forged. The bank had a office manager, not an account manager meet with him and then informed it they were not responsible and he was not going to be refunded the stolen money. They only required one form of id, for these unkown men that had no banking accounts with them. Police reports were filed, but there was absolutely no support for his business from this bank. His cash flow for the business was interupted, and the bank provied no support. If you have a business with them, your money is not safe.

I wanted an account at a local (non-national) bank, thinking that I would get more personal service. But really what I get is podunk service. Sure everyone there is very nice. But there is no ATM deposit, which means that I cannot deposit a check in my account unless there is someone physically inside of the bank working, and they put a hold on my card sometimes when I leave the state - without any sort of warning or consistency. At the moment the website is down, with no indication of when it will be up and running again. Overall I'm not happy with NMBT, but what are the alternatives in Santa Fe?

The staff are very nice and usually quite helpful. Unfortunately, the bank's website and mobile app are terrible, and third-party vendors they contract to for services like bill pay aren't good at all. (More than once, before I closed my account, I had to sit with a very nice bank employee while he/she negotiated with bill pay service to fix a lost payment). NMBT also doesn't play nice with services like Mint/Personal Capital. I finally closed my account and bank online with Ally.

I recommend this, local bank. I have a safe deposit box at their Guadalupe location and it is very convenient. Good customer service and a willingness to tackle whatever requests I have including wire transfers to dubious recipients and third party checks.
