The gallery features a curated selection of stunning work by contemporary artists, showcasing how modern photography contributes to its nearly 200-year-old history. In addition to representing current artists, Obscura Gallery offers an ongoing, rotating inventory of 19th and 20th-century photographs and welcomes quality consignments. The gallery is known for its beautiful and well-displayed photographs, including impressive digital prints of works like those by Roger Deakins, which are comparable to the finest silver halide prints. The space invites visitors to linger and explore intimate and inspiring images. The staff and owner are friendly, knowledgeable, and make visitors feel welcome with no high-pressure sales, creating a relaxed environment for viewing and purchasing art. Beyond photography, the gallery also exhibits authentic vintage tribal artifacts, some dating back to the mid-19th century. Overall, Obscura Gallery is a must-see destination for lovers of photography and historical artifacts, offering a unique blend of contemporary images and rare collectibles in a warm, engaging setting.
Beautiful photography, some by famous names. Expensive though. Well worth a stop.

Great gallery. I also go to openings, which are a bit busy for the small space so then you have to come back again to actually see much of the works. Meeting Roger Deakins in 2024 was great.

The new exhibition of Roger Deakins photographs is stunning! The quality of the digital prints are equal to the finest silver halide prints I've ever seen. Jennifer's new space invites one to linger and be intimate with the photographs.
