"I'm just wondering, are these shirts over here Peruvian?" "They're from a lot of places," she said, smiling. "We source from India, Ecuador, Mexico, China, here in New Mexico... You should just check the tag." Huh, I thought, Sounds like a messy business plan. But in the end, this shop absolutely pulls it off. On the same kids clothing rack we pulled out South American and east Indian dresses and eventually decided on the Indian items, and the cost was fair enough to throw in some Worry Dolls for the parental let-me-buy-your-love-back guilt gift. I really got lost in this store, though. Every corner features a collection of keepsakes, attire, jewelry and the obligatory schlocky New Mexico t-shirt you're supposed to buy on Santa Fe's historic Plaza, but my feeling was that these goods were really high quality and fairly priced. If you're looking for something to bring back home that proves you visited Santa Fe, I'm not sure this place is on your list. The shop better reflects New Mexico as a whole and offers plenty of truly unique world goods.
