The Teahouse has been my favorite place for brunch and tea for many years. I took my adult daughter there yesterday, 4/26/24 and had been raving about the many options of the Eggs Benedicts and the Strawberry Shortbread Scone with the whip cream. We were not greeted in a friendly manner and we were sat in the little side yard, I asked if we could be seated in the main courtyard( it only had 4 tables seated) and was told no because they were doing a rotation to be fair.Okay. when our waiter brought the menu there was only "1" option for Eggs Benedict and a very limited menu, I asked why there were no other options, he said" new owners, new chef and new menu" hmmmm.... We ordered the Eggs Benedict and 2 teas, it was the worst Eggs Benedict I have ever had, no Hollandaise sauce, just pure mayonnaise. The English muffins were flat and dense. Why would anyone change everything about an iconic restaurant in Santa Fe? So sad and disappointing, I will not return.:( The end of an era

Love the new chef at the tea house! Delicious fusion food with some classic brunch staples. Got the Ube Waffles and the Bánh Mì. Both tasty and fresh. Teahouse has needed a menu update and they have delivered. Service was lovely as well. And can't beat sitting outside in their garden to eat!

The Tea House has always been a destination spot on canyon road and I would say since the new owners have taken over, the menus improved and the space feels cozier. The new menu is Filipino fusion.. I hate the fusion term but it's the best way to describe this menu. I enjoyed the creativeness of the dishes but felt they overall lacked seasoning.I had the eggs benny and my friend had the breakfast sandwich. I felt both of them were well thought out in terms of ingredients and creativity but they were lacking seasoning. They both had a chilly crisp oil which I was hoping to get a little bit of heat from but it was clearly mild.Maybe give the option of the having a spicier chili oil.The service was very slow even tho it wasn't busy. I had to get the attention of the wait staff after sitting for 10 minutes just to order tea.The food came out promptly and looked pretty but the egg on top of the benny was overcooked yet the whites were runny. The hollandaise needed more acid and salt. That being said, I look forward to trying other things on the menu as it is a very creative menu.I wonder if this is the same chef from the Parador??Parking: Free parking but it's very limited and tight if you have a big vehicle. There's a pay lot adjacent but it's super expensive!

Under new ownership and the menu has changed a bit. But this is still good. My go-to place for breakfast/brunch when taking visitors to canyon road. At my last outing, I was adventuresome and tried the ube waffles. A little different, and very good. A friend had the gluten free waffles and they were also good. Another friend had the eggs Benedict. Though he liked them, he thought the hollandaise was a bit too lemony. Breakfast potatoes are very good -- light, not overly cooked. We each had a croissant -- regular, chocolate and ube. (Yes, I was adventuresome again.) The purple filling in the ube croissant was heavenly. I will definitely have this every time I go. Hot cocoa could have been hotter, but was tasty. So many tea selections -- I don't even remember what my friend got, but she said it was delicious. Prices are reasonable. Service is wonderful -- quick , friendly, efficient. We had a very personable waiter. Only drawback -- still only one bathroom! So, yeah, it's changed a bit, but it's still a good place to eat.

Came here with friends on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30. We sat outside. Extensive tea menu and all 4 of us liked our teas. The food was delicious! There were several things that I wanted...but I ended up getting the lunch burrito. Very tasty...but they also have sandwiches, salads, soups, and waffles as well.

This was one of my absolute favorite restaurants, not only in Santa Fe but from all of my travels. The food was fantastic, the tea was great and the servers had been there so long you recognized them. We love in Texas and make trips to Santa Fe once every month or two and this was one of the highlights of the trip. We recently took my in-laws to it for the first time for them and apparently our first time experiencing the new menu. It was such a disappointment. The menu is a shell of its former self and the new additions are not what made the Teahouse so special to begin with. I read the comments about the old way wasn’t working but I would have gladly paid more the other menu items. Now all that is left is half the food or less for the same money or more. I didn’t go there to be on a budget and I would imagine that most clientele was the same. The new menu is not good and I have no intention on visiting this place again. Such a shame.

The new condensed menu is bad. We thought we were lucky today showing up for lunch and it being dead. Nope, we found out really quick that it is not busy probably due to the fact that the menu was changed and not many food options. I feel the quality of everything kind of went down from the many last visits. My wife’s salad was drenched in dressing, the lettuce was black and on verge of being completely bad. Her chicken sandwich was rubbery and the bread was soggy. The lavender lemonade was overly sweet, just a completely different experience from our previous visits. Never minded the prices on the old menu due to everything being a treat.

The waitress loudly and coldly told us to leave after we finished our meal, saying she had other customers to seat. No apology, no explanation, no prior warning, no reservation on the table we were at. Unprofessional and beyond rude.

The new menu here is a big disappointment. The menu at The Teahouse has been beloved by many and there was no reason to change it. Sure, paint the place and spruce it - that was nice. But the new food is really bad. We had an Eggs Benny but had to pay extra for sausage. I had a salad which was heavily drenched with dressing. I added chicken which was inedible. Instead of the usual chicken breast for a salad it was strangely sliced thigh meat which was obviously nuked and so rubbery it was just inedible. I told the waitress and she said she would tell the chef but they did not deduct that extra $5 from the bill. Honestly, Santa Fe has loved the Teahouse and we don't need a different menu. The Teahouse has been a tradition here and this new menu, which is not appetizing anyway, should be for a different kind of place. The pastries are not on display, nor the desserts. There is a feeling that one is not welcome to drink tea, have a pastry and relax with a friend. And yet, the place was less than half full , even the patio on a gorgeous sunny day. Please, Teahouse bring back the great breakfasts, pastries, quiches, muffins and scones, and salads that we love. We have eaten at The Teahouse for many years but will not be returning to the new Teahouse.

I have been coming to the Teahouse for many years. It is now under new ownership and they have taken away popular items for some reason. I ordered eggs benedict. The eggs were on soggy bread with no ham and no side salad which used to accompany the dish. The hollandaise sauce was terrible and looked like yellow mayonnaise. My friend had the quiche which was flat and arrived with a pile of fried potatoes - again no salad. The photos on this site need to be udated because none of that food is available anymore. I don't like to write negative reviews but I hope this gets the new owners attentions and they put back the items that worked for years.

Really good place to eat on canyon road! We walked up the hill and are outside because the weather was perfect.

I have been coming to the Teahouse since I was 12 years old I am now 25. In that time I have never had a bad experience, I have become very close friends with the employees, and have had plenty of amazing meals and drinks here.Today, I can’t portray how disappointed I was with the food, drinks, service, and the overall vibe of this restaurant. It is very upsetting that it would still be called the Teahouse when there is nothing about this establishment that is the same. Not one of the current menu items is from the original menu, which is truly a disservice to the restaurant. As I sat there today I heard 4 separate parties asking for items like the paninis, oatmeal, salads, and posole. And the waiter responding very rudely that they only have what’s on the menu.I truly don’t understand how a restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico especially can serve New Mexican food without chile, instead you get sriracha. (And why dear god why is there so much Ube on this menu? Perhaps remove 1 of the 5 different Ube items and replace it with an OG menu item? )I don’t know what else I can say but if your plan was to change the entire menu please change the name of the restaurant don’t try to mimic a Santa Fe treasure when you can’t even get one item from the OG.Now that I have explained how this is a completely different restaurant I bet you were hoping that maybe the atmosphere would still be the same great vibe, wrong. You walk in the front door and are immediately hit with an off putting scent, the walls are a horrifying blue, and the garlic/curry spices that they seem to have in every item has somehow merged with the smell of bathroom cleaners. And if all that wasn’t off putting enough the new/old owner, can’t seem to stop speaking ill of the dead. Rich may not have been running this business properly, but your lack of appreciation for the history and the local community of the business is much worse.

Sat outside on the patio with our puppies. Thoroughly enjoyed the tea (lots of options!), burrito, and the chicken and waffles. Great variety in teas and the menu options for brunch were very interesting. Will be back next time we're in Santa Fe.
