“I had the BMW dealer service center quote me an eye-watering price to replace a timing chain, and other related seals, gaskets, covers,etc. It's a component that is designed to last the life of the engine, so the repair is a substantial amount of labor in disassembly and reassembly.
Faced with paying a major portion of the car's value to get it fixed, I decided to get another estimate, and called Ians's garage. Theresa spent a good deal of time with me on the phone explaining the scope and extent of the repair, and provided an estimate that was ~33% less than what BMW had quoted. When I picked up my car, Ian brought me into the immaculate shop where he had the damaged/worn components laid out and spent a good deal of time explaining what he'd found and the work he had done, root causes of the failure, and future preventive measures. He is personable, and generous with his time in explaining details. He is impressively knowledgeable and conveys the kind of friendly, calm competence only found in true professionals. He's certainly earned my trust.

“My Forester broke down, five hours from home, on I-25. Leonard with Precision Transmission was amazing. I would give 100 stars if I could. When I got their number from a list of suggested shops from the insurance company, I called, stranded, asking what to do, and Leonard not only answered the phone at almost closing time, but, despite it clearly NOT being a transmission issue, treated me like family, helping me sort through next steps. He squeezed my towed car into their packed schedule. Despite it not being their specialty, they were able to correctly identify the fatal problem. Leonard hunted for new/used engines, helped us with the final decision, and even asked that we call when we got home to let him know we were safe. In a situation perfect for possible rip-offs, Leonard was professional, knowledgeable, and honest. Our highest recommendation.”

“My 1998 Toyota 4Runner's engine died several years ago. I could not bear to junk it after so many years of great experiences in Washington State, California, Vermont and here in New Mexico. Luckily while thinking about engine replacement I discovered Daniel's "German Auto Solutions". I went to see him and after some warm and honest conversation I agreed to have German Auto Solutions replace my Toyota's engine. He took his time which was my preference because I emphasized I wanted a good job and not a rushed just get it done approach. I am now once again driving my prized 1998 4Runner with a replaced younger engine Daniel was able to locate that did not rob my bank! He did a great job!! “While traveling full time in our converted shuttle bus my husband and I found ourselves stuck in Santa Fe with some car issues. We are from Ohio so we didn’t know anyone in the area. Luckily, we found master tech and they were incredible to us. We came in without an appointment on a super busy Monday and they immediately took the time to listen to what was going on and started diagnosing. Unfortunately, after trying multiple different resolutions, we ended up needing a whole new transmission along with a few other repairs. “Actions speak louder than words. The folks here are stand-up people. I had a new alert on a push-start car. None of my old tricks worked. I gave up and called FAST auto mechanics to ask if they could take in a Honda if I could get it towed there. They could have let me spend money on a tow and could have charged me to diagnose the problem. Instead they walked me through a few steps that got me running again. Thank goodness for service people like that!”
