Brodsky Bookshop is the oldest bookstore in Historic Taos. It features a wide selection of mostly used books in a wide variety of subjects, specializing in New Mexico, Southwest and Native American history. There is a good art book section and a children's section stuffed full of books. It is a great little book shop with a well curated selection and a very good stock of local history books, including a local authors section. The store has a database to search for titles, making it easier for readers. The friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff acts with kindness and consideration. The shop is slightly off the main street of Taos, with great prices typical of small bookstores. It is definitely the best book shop in Taos and worth stopping in. They also carefully wrap and mail books.
The best sort of bookstore - full of hidden gems. A bookstore for and by wide readers. The owner, Rick, is very helpful and friendly. I left with a stunning hardcover complete works of Mark Twain. We will be coming back next time we are in Taos.

Delightful bookstore! Wonderful selection of used books including lots of Southwest art and history books. Rick is gracious and very helpful and he shared some incredible stories about a book that I purchased. I plan to return soon!

Really cute shop with lots of local non-fiction, lots of older sci-fi, and great selection of older classics and rare editions. Rick is a great guy!
