I am a frequent skier at Taos Ski Valley. Occasionally we have breakfast at Cid's Market on the mountain. Many times we have visited the business for breakfast and many times the employee that cooks the breakfast has disappointed us. To be blunt, this employee is rude and has no businees interacting with customers. Today, I asked for a breakfast burrito without cheese. The cook told me that I was lucky to be able to purchase anything at this facility and that no, he would would not provide a burrito without cheese. If Cid's cannot accomodate customers that cannot eat cheese, then stop providing food completely. Cid's is not doing there customers a favor selling there products to the paying customers. They are the ones that should thank us for supporting them. Management should review there policies that deal with there employees at Cid's on the mountain.

I have lived in Taos for 23 years and for many years, Cids, which has excellent food and is easy to navigate, always won customer service awards. Sadly that has not been the case since (at minimum) the start of COVID. In particular, many (not all) of the younger female cashiers barely look you when you go through their aisle and do not say a word. Not a "did you find everything you needed", not a "how are you doing" nor even the most cursory "hello". I find this detracts from my used to be wonderful shopping experience at Cids. If management is aware of this deficiency and cares about a pleasant environment perhaps some basic customer service training skills could improve this aspect of Cids.

Great selection of healthy items from food to herbal medicine. The prepared foods and salad bar were exactly what I needed after a long day and not wanting to go to a restaurant to eat.The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Flies in the bakery case, breakfast sandwich hard as a rock and decided not to purchase anything because every staff member at the check out lanes were on their phones. What happend to this place? If you are going to price gouge and charge $2.50 for a single cookie at least give the customers, and the gross store some attention.

The store is really well maintained but my main issue is the cashiers. They didn't even said hi or anything to acknowledge us. I'm not the one to start a conversation but come on, at least be polite. Not only that but the bag lady that has a purple crop top with a butterfly on it was picking at her belly button really hard and the cashier with her seems very mesmerized by it. Really freaking gross. This happened on August 12 at 14:30 if the owners actually read the reviews.

Seems like every time we got to Taos we stop by Cid's. Lots of local food, great meat and veggies. Bulk items. Reminds me of Wild Oats back in the day.

Never seen a grocery store closed on a Sunday . This business and others who choose not to be open are the reasons why Taos is in a steep decline . Who wants to visit a town that’s closed 1/3 of the time .

Taos' splurge market - where to go when only the finest, organic quality will do. If you can afford to shop here on a regular basis, I applaud your financial liquidity.

Best place in our area for natural, organic, healthy products. Meat is exceptionally good. Produce, too. Bulk shopping available..

This is a fabulous place of you’re also a tourist looking for unique gifts for friends and family. The prices for quality products is fair; in fact local pinon coffee better priced than any shop on the plaza. I love the deli for nice good options when you tire of restaurants. Thanks for being here!

Like uncooked jasmine rice (passed off as cooked Saffron Almond Rice) @ $6.99/lb)? Cid's is the place to go.Like cakes with so much sugar in the frosting that you can't taste the cake or the filling? Cid's is the place to go.Like pies that have been hideously amateur for years? Longing for Chocolate Maven pies like they used to carry? Cid's is the place to go.Like to pay $4-$5+ each for pastries instead of $3 for excellent Chocolate Maven goods, which Cid's just raised the price of by 33%? Cid's is the place to go.Like to pay $7 for a humus sandwich that has upwards of a teaspoon of humus in it? Cid's is the place to go.As for the deli, they FINALLY stopped having the food cart block access to it 2 to 3 times a day. That should help sales. There are many good points to Cid's and their pricing structure is really their business. Organic or not, quality is what people assume they are paying for and what is not to be had in so many of the in-house ready to go foods there. Not holding my breath for improvements.
