Love this store, very well merchandise and beautiful fabrics. Priscilla was fabulous and very stylish and absolutely talented in coordinating colors and prints together, she helped me choose fabrics for my project. Thank you!

Love, love, love the linen clothing. Also things are fairly priced. Just wish they did mail order. I want more!

I absolutely love this shop and make sure to stop in every time I go through Taos. Most of my house in decorated in their fabrics. They have such pillows, scarves, table clothes and fabric. I'm obsessed!

Common Thread is unlike any other fabric store. The buyer selects only fabrics that have a true Taos vibe, and some of them are unique to Common Thread. I mentioned recently that there were bad reviews here, caused by a rude employee. This was shocking news to the person I was speaking with, who had no idea that this had happened. Fortunately, by that time the grouchy employee, with whom I too had tangled, had gone elsewhere.

I love this store. I’ve shopped there since the 90’s, but today the lady that was working there yelled at me for no reason. I had to get out fast, I think she was having a hard day. I really needed to buy about 24 yards of linen for window curtains. Now I’m afraid to go back.

We stopped in today and bought several items. While they were all quite lovely, the service was barely this side of rude. The woman refused to engage in conversation, reluctantly answered questions, and didn’t even bother to thank us for our purchase. So unnecessarily unpleasant.

Was super excited to visit this shop... I’m an Interior Designer and was very interested in seeing all of the beautiful fabrics and textiles; however, I never even made it past the front door! I completely understand the Covid requirements (i.e. masks, sanitize hands as you enter), and have no problem complying. However, where I have a problem is being forced to use the “public” bottle of sanitizer at the front. No one is maintaining it after each use, and this one was a nasty spray bottle, so you had to pick it up and actually touch multiple areas in order to put in on your hands. I pulled out my travel size hand sanitizer and was very rudely told that I needed to use THEIRS, not my own! When I explained that I didn’t want to touch that nasty bottle that everyone else had been man-handling, and preferred to use my own, she very rudely told me that I was not allowed in and needed to leave!! As I turned to go, I said “forget it, I’m out of here”. She then yelled out after me “good!! we don’t want you here!!” WOW, just wow!! I get that there is a pandemic going on, and I am happy to comply with requirements; however, trying to force me to touch a nasty public bottle of sanitizer rather than using my own personal bottle, then treating me so horribly as I turned to leave... this lady (I’m assuming the owner) really shouldn’t be working with the public!! My sister-in-law (who was with me) was stunned at how she acted. Talk about rude and disrespectful... save yourself the time and humiliation, and skip this shop! Doesn’t matter how beautiful the product is if the shop owner can’t bother to treat their patrons with kindness and respect!!

The best textiles in Taos! Staff is so friendly and the fabric is beautiful. They also have some beautiful clothing and home pieces that are all handmade - definitely worth the stop when you're in Taos!

I bought some handmade paper. The store owner was 'having computer troubles' and entered the sale 'unsuccessfully' three times, so I paid cash. Credit card bill received today shows all three 'unsuccessful' debits went through. Not cool.
