Pharmacist and staff were so nice, even through I got there at closing time (I wasn’t aware of the new hours). They were happy to help, which I so appreciated since I’m from out of town. Highly recommend.

Pharmacist made a huge scene about filling my prescription, accused me of stockpiling medication, taking too much medication, no matter how hard I tried he would not stop being hostile, belligerent, accusing toward me... in public with a long line of customers witnessing. Stressful, humiliating, hurtful. Worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. I guess deep down he knew he was wrong, because, he filled the prescription, even though he continued treating me horribly. Cashier was not as bad, but defended him and said he was their best pharmacist when I complained to her about how he interacted w me. Never going back there.

Won’t answer the phone, don’t even know that emergency refills exist, and it is illegal to refuse this to someone. 1-2 hour long wait times in line, and can’t even get my meds in time before I start withdrawing. This pharmacy sucks!

Pharmacy is a big joke. Never anything ready and when you call to talk to someone they will not answer the phone. Set on hold multiple time over 10 minutes. Wish I could give it a minus star. 2.5 average is to high.

What is going on with this store??? First, the pharmacy is absolutely maddening. For months, we have to wait in line for 1 hour plus. I feel sorry for the elderly people that have to stand in line for medicine that they cannot live without. With only 7 people in front of me, I still had to wait 90 minutes. When I left, there were about 20 people in line. That’s easily a three hour wait. It is very inefficient. I’m moving my prescriptions to Wal-Greens. Second, the grocery inventory is very limited and shelves are bare. It couldn’t just be a break down in the supply chain because Albertson’s, CID’s, and El Sol have great inventory. The Taos Smith’s is in dire need of a new manager.

The Pharmacy...I've never seen anything so chaotic. I've waited in line up to 1 1/2 hours for my prescriptions that I called in previously only to be told that they weren't ready. So I came back and waited another hour in line...still not ready. I had to go so far as to call the store manager. He was able to get it done for me. Now I need my breathing medicine. They said they gave me 3 months supply last time when it was only a month so here I go back to the pharmacy for another hour long wait in line so I can have words with the pharmacist. I'm transferring all my scripts to Walgreens. I just can't take it anymore!

Worst pharmacy ever. Tried calling to get a prescription filled and the phone just kept ringing and ringing. When someone finally did answer they would put me on hold and then hang up on me. Very disappointing. I do not recommend going to Smiths for anything as all of their staff is very rude and unprofessional. The pharmacy also closes at 6pm sharp and they do not care if you've been standing in line for 45 plus minutes minutes they will close at 6pm and tell you to come back tomorrow. Very sad and unprofessional environment.

Hour-long lines, frantic skeleton staff, uncertain refill times, a late-to-work, unfocused pharmacist. This business needs to be shut down.

The Pharmacy needs a LOT of help! I know they're short staffed, but I had an Rx sent in early this morning, went in 3x to try & get it. Lines were 20 - 50 people long & not moving. Signs say to check by calling before waiting in line to pick up. No one answers the phone. Automated menu over phone is USELESS. Problem is, Walgreens is worse.

Pharmacy won't bill my insurance provider.Smith's in Taos has been my sole pharmacy for many years. For most of that time I have be treated with courtesy and respect.Unfortunately, in the past few months I have been met with disinterest or, worse outright hostility. The problem is that rather than billing my insurance, I am asked to pay for prescriptions in full.When I first questioned the cost, I was told that my deductible had not been satisfied. Upon contacting my insurance provider I was informed that there is no deductible and that nothing had been charged to my insurance since the beginning of the year.That was months ago and I still have to ask them to bill my insurance every time I pick up a prescription.I have asked for help with this problem, but nothing has changed. Today I was told that I must call before pickup if I want my insurance billed! Really?
