Taos Mercantile Co. is a large store with a wide and varied selection of tourist goodies, from clothing and T-shirts to cooking items, jewelry, toys, magnets, and window stickers related to Taos and New Mexico. There are many nice souvenir items to choose from, and the prices are reasonably priced. Some find the selection slightly tacky, but it is a worthwhile stop for that certain Taos item. Customer service experiences vary; some find the people helpful and laid back, while others have felt unwelcome or not valued when paying. The store offers some discounts for buying multiple items. Note that restrooms are not available, as is common for plaza stores.
I picked up the perfect kitschy roadrunner statue here for about $6! The lady working was very pleasant and wrapped it up nicely for me.

I got an assortment as a gift. The HATCH Red Chili hot sauce is amazing. I have not been there just the website as I ordered more stuff and can not wait to get it . I hope you find this review helpful.
