It would be GREAT if the pharmacy would post when they are closing for lunch, both online and in the store! I never know when the pharmacy will be closed! Very inconvenient.

Worst pharmacy and customer service I could have ever imagined. Less than one star. Lazy and slow and rude as heck.

Great place to pick up anything someone might need at a reasonable price.

I saw the dentist around 3pm on a Friday and was told I had an infected tooth and needed a root canal. The dentist said he'd call in a prescription for antibiotics. I said he should call it into the Walmart pharmacy since I'd used that pharmacy before.I sat in my car in the clinic's parking lot for nearly an hour, trying to find a dentist who took my insurance and could see me sooner than April 2024. By the time I drove to the Walmart in Taos, it was well after 5pm.I went to the pharmacy and asked for my prescription. The pharmacy tech (who was very nice) said it wasn't ready. He said it would be ready in 20 to 25 minutes. I said ok.I stepped away from the counter, set the timer on my phone for 25 minutes and went outside to check on my dog that I'd had to leave in the car. When the timer went off, I went back to the pharmacy. The same pharmacy tech told me the prescription still wasn't ready. But he told me he'd mark it some special way (maybe critical or urgent, I don't remember) and the computer would put my prescription next. He did something on the computer, then filled my prescription while I waited at the counter. He asked me if I had any questions for the pharmacist. (At other Walmart pharmacies I've used, you automatically see the pharmacist if you are picking up a new prescription. The pharmacist then explains all about the drug and hands it over. I guess that's not automatic here.) I said I did in fact have a question for the pharmacist, so I stepped over to the consultation window. The pharmacist seemed busy, but answered my question and explained things to me in a business like way.Overall, I was pleased with my experience here, although the wait was a little long.

It seems like there’s always an issue with my prescriptions. It truly feels like being disabled is a punishment, and it’s 10x worse since I switched to Walmart. The lines at smiths were so long I was forced to switch. I get treated so poorly at Walmart, some of them are nice but others are extremely condescending. I spent 2 hours on the phone with my insurance last month because they messed up at Walmart and gave me a partial refill and wouldn’t give me the rest despite my insurance approving it. They wanted to charge me $60 when I had $11 to my name. All they had to do was click a button but nope. It was a massive ordeal. Today I called upon opening to refill my meds. Was told 2 hours. Showed up 1.5 hours later, stood in line for 20 minutes to be told another two hours. The pharmacist in the back was so condescending when I informed them I had already been told two hours and would it be an additional two hours. I often leave there in tears because as I stated, it feels like a punishment. Nothing is ever easy getting my meds. Unfortunately I don’t have much of a choice but to deal with it but these staff members need some sensitivity training. In all honestly I feel like writing this review will have a backlash because they know my name and now know I’m complaining so cross your fingers it doesn’t get worse. Buyers beware if you’re switching here.

Shouldn't even get one star. Patrick the so called pharmacy manager is very rude and inconsiderate. Wouldn't help me or let me pay because I had the phone to my ear. This is poor , rude and f'd up customer service. Wish they had a better manager working. Not the first time I have had issues! Should not have to deal with rude managers!

Unable to communicate pharmacy services. Wouldn't trust communication of pertinent information regarding prescriptions.

I need to preface this review by stating that I think I’m a pretty patient and understanding person because I’ve spent years working in both customer service and healthcare, so I understand poor customer service is typically a systemic or managerial problem, the workers just bear the brunt of the blame.I believe this pharmacy is probably understaffed and I made a concerted effort to remember there’s much more happening behind the scenes and everyone is trying they can with the circumstances they were given. But there is no excuse for lying to customers and not bothering to post accurate hours of operation. I can seldom remember being so angry and waited 10 days to post this just to ensure I wasn’t blowing it out of proportion.I’m from out of state, stayed in the Taos area for a month and had the misfortune to experience an injury a day before plans to leave. I spent 8 hours in the ER the night prior and stopped here en route out of town and was still in significant pain. At 1:32pm on a Saturday I arrived at the pharmacy counter to pickup a script from my aforementioned ER visit. The pharmacy was closed so the staff could take lunch from 1:30-2. There is nothing wrong with a lunch break; what IS wrong is that said closure is not mentioned on the Walmart website nor on Google. It is not hard to post accurate hours online in 2021. I often see restaurants close for a few hours in the afternoon and they manage to post it online. Failure to post accurate hours is incredibly discourteous and disrespectful of customers’ time and needs. Lacking many other options, I waited because I really needed this script to be able to travel. When the window opened at 2, the customer in front of me was told her script wasn’t ready at the scheduled time and she was understandably frustrated (she shared this with me, as we had chatted to pass the time). When it was my turn, the rep at the counter told me the same thing. Perhaps she was stressed, overworked, or burned out - I don’t know. But her demeanor was difficult to interpret as anything but bored and disinterested as she delivered this news. I was in disbelief that a script the ER had generated 16 hours ago wasn’t ready, as certain kinds of scripts are generally prioritized. She told me it was “just called in” and it would be another hour. I asked what time it had been received and she claimed she didn’t know. I asked how she could know they “just got it” if she didn’t know what time. She shrugged and said they needed at least an hour. I do NOT appreciate her blatant dishonesty. Controlled substance prescriptions aren’t “called in” in 2021. They’re sent through an encrypted system, and the hospital sent it at 10pm the night before. If she’d said “I apologize we’re short staffed today, we’re working as fast as we possibly can” or something to that extent I would still have been frustrated but understood - we’ve all been in that situation. But a dishonest attempt to blame the hospital is downright unprofessional. I honestly wish I’d made a bigger stink about it.I had allotted extra time in my travel plans to stop in the pharmacy, but not an HOUR AND A HALF long pharmacy stop. Flights wait for no one. I left the building without my prescription, still in severe pain, and frankly in tears and panicking. To say that I don’t recommend this pharmacy to anybody under any circumstances is an understatement. And especially not when you’re desperately unwell. It turned out okay, no thanks to this pharmacy. After my initial panic passed, I called the ER and they were able to resend my script to a different pharmacy by the airport - who had it ready in under 2 hours and I was in & out in 5 minutes. Please do better, Walmart.

Didn't use the pharmacy, but their OTC section. They carry everything from aspirin to candy, food staples, etc. Watch for sales. I got a great but on Epsom Salts, regular, lavender and eucalyptus. Actually cheaper than Amazon.

Inexplicably closed at random times very often resulting in long lines when they are in operation. I’ve attempted to pickup my script 4 times over the last week with no luck.

This Walmart location is a good one. The people are mostly very friendly and helpful. I don't like that they got rid of all produce, because I never go to a store not needing some type of produce, so I go to this store much less often now. I used to be able to make do with what little produce they did have, but now its just not workable. I also wanted to let people know that the pharmacy is closed for lunch from 1:30-2:00pm, because they haven't updated this information on Google.
