“I don't know much about this org so am giving a 4 star just to be fair. However, I agree that too many charitable organizations are sending "gifts" (gloves?, greeting cards, etc.) that I don't need and detract from the true need. I think consultants are advising that if they spend a few bucks on unsolicited gifts, people will be guilted in to giving. I get several a week on top of the standard letter which I probably get 25 a week...many from the same organization. What a waste!PS...I always check Charity Navigator to see how the charity spends its money. Unfortunately, SBIMS does not get rated by them. But I did see articles on-line about affiliations with aggressive mail marketers...to my point above. I SO wanted to send them a donation!”
