“Corkins is paradise. The setting is magnificent; the skies are dark and full of stars; the river is beautiful; and the stuff of normal life seems very far away. Beautiful forest hiking and the fishing places are so scenic, even if you don't catch fish, which are pretty smart here.”

“Staying at the Timbers was Ike stepping back in time with all the modern conveniences. The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds comfortable.The Timbers also has a commercial kitchen that we took advantage of for most of our meals.Wildlife galore at the Timbers and surrounding countryside. We enjoyed watching a herd of elk every morning from the back deck of the Lodge drinking from the neighbor’s pond before they headed up the mountainsideFly fishing the Rio Chama and Rio Brazos was incredible, Aside from fishing there are many other things to do while staying at the Timbers. Other fun things to do Like riding on the Cumbres & Toltec train in downtown Chama, or river rafting in Taos. Many places to hike as well.
