The young guy who helped me was a family member and answered my questions readily. I bought a big box of Saltines, mmm..., just what the 600 mile drive ahead of me needed as fuel. Ha!”

“The attached restaurant - La Cocina Lucero - was amazing. The red chile that topped our smothered fries was some of the best I’ve ever had. But do save room for the homemade ice cream - we tried the candy-cane and the coffee and doughnuts flavors. It was so rich and creamy a serious MUST try. They were also very attentive with sweet personalities. One of the owners also open carried with a smile which made us feel extra safe and secure.”
