At the start everything was fine. Ordered windows, they came in on time the installation went well. A few months later I wanted to clean the windows. On half of the windows the locks were not installed correctly and the windows would not lock. One window would not tilt in. I called for service was given an appointment 2 weeks out. I had to wait around for a couple of hours for the repair tech to arrive. He could not repair the tilt issue as he needed a part. The lock he repositioned by redrilling the holes in the windows. After weeks of waiting and not hearing from Comfort I called and asked for a status. They said they would send a tech two weeks later. After waiting a couple of hours the tech showed up with the wrong service ticket and no replacement part to fix the tilt issue. His service ticket was for the first visit which was already completed. The tech said he would be back in two weeks. It has been three weeks and no tech visit or resolution. I called today spoke to someone who switched me to repair and was forced to leave a message with the repair group after asking not to switch me to voice mail. I am disappointed that the installation team did not see these issues and that the factory manufactured these windows with the locks installed wrong and tilt feature not working. I am really concerned with the response time if the window glass broke how long would I have to live with an open window (cold wind and security vulnerability).

Horrible company. Didn't complete the job on time and never fixed the problems they created and used inexperienced workers to do the job. Will not recommend this company.

Don't waste you time. I got a quote in June, Deposited the first week of July, and was told it would be 8-12 weeks for installation. They came out a week later to measure and order the windows (large, not standard size). A month later I got a check for my deposit refunded with no explanation. Spent a WEEK calling to find out what is going on (was this an error?). Finally got to speak to a manager who said they canceled my order/contract becuase they decided the slope of the windows (sun room) was too low for them to warranty the order, but "forgot" to reach out and tell me it was canceled. Both the salesperson and the person who measured the order a week later didn't see a problem with the angle, it took them a month to "realize" there was an issue with the slope. This manager then made a few jokes about me driving the office crazy with my calls, and how they really didn't want to refund my deposit, so they could spend it on a party.
After waiting 2 months on them is not the time to make jokes about how unprofessional they were. I get it, mistakes happen, but not returning my calls when I am just looking for answers, and you acknowledging you messed up is just crappy business.
Try spending less time on your radio commercials and more time demonstrating you are professionals who care about your customers.

My 26 comfort windows are 17 years old and still look and work as new. The issues I've had with them were backed up 100% with their warranty, every issue resolved no matter what!!!! Great company all the way around. Best investment I've ever made with my home!!!

I bought a whole cellar full of windows. The rep who came to look at the old windows noticed tears in 3 of the screens of previously purchased windows. He let me know they could be repaired for free, just drop off at office. What a great selling point I thought.
Thats great customer service. Just to be sure I called ahead and yes they said they would repair for free. They asked when purchased and I didn’t know as we have purchased windows 2 at a time over several years. I dropped screens off and was told, they will call me when ready. When I got home, I had a message stating they were charging me $25.00 a window. They looked up the paperwork and it was not in the contract.. They could have looked that up when I called. Manager Will D. Did not back down from charging me, so I had to drive back and pick up the damaged screens. Greed.
What the manager should have done since I was told it would be free by 2 different reps, is to not charge me this time since it was their error, and future screens would be charged.
Keep your contract receipts. Every one I have found shows free screen replacement.
Best bet is Home Depot.
The prices have gone way up. Referred my sister to them for just a few basement windows. The estimate was in the thousands.
There will be no more referrals to Comfort Windows, and I cannot even count how many people I referred.

As a repeat customer, we went Comfort Windows for a shower. From the sales pitch to completion of the shower, it was a horrible experience. To quote the sales manager, " Comfort Windows is a window company, we don't do showers." Update: The floor and walls were replaced by your subcontractor before the shower installed, but maybe your salesman should have informed us that preexisting homes are a problem for your team.

As a repeat customer of Comfort Windows, we went to them to have a shower installed. From the sales pitch to the completion of the shower, it was a horrible experience. To quote the sales manager, " Comfort Windows is a window company, we don't do showers."

I had a custom picture window made...was told it would take roughly 3 months to make, but was happily surprised when I got a phone call from Joe like 45 days later,saying the window was done and ready for pickup. I have nothing but good things to say about Comfort Windows and Doors. Everyone was friendly, accommodating, and I didn't have to chop off an arm or a leg to afford the window. (Just a baby toe) hahaha 5 stars all around

Edited: two guys were just here to fix my door. Initially they thought they would have to take it all out and put it back in and it would be an all-day job. They were able to correct it within an hour without having to rip it all out. The two gentlemen that came were so friendly so nice and completely understanding of my frustration. And now I do not see sunlight around my door and I do not need to use all of my force to open and close it! It took us a little bit to get here but I am now completely satisfied with the product I purchased. And was assured that if anything else should be needed they will gladly come back out, but I'm hoping we don't need to utilize that.
Original review: Had windows done in 2019 everything was great. Decided to use them again to finish windows and replace entry doors. Well it was a horrible experience. One thing after another wrong. STILL my front door is not right! Someone has come to "fix it" but they didn't. The door seems crooked and is more drafty than the original much older door that was in there. The weather stripping on the bottom has already been replaced once about 2 months after the door was installed, they say it's not al and the door is level but why is it only wearing on one side? Also the new stripping is starting to break now too. Which they also said was normal and that I would just have to call every few months to have it replaced. 3 stars because the first experience was great, but boy did it go very wrong the second time around.

Comfort Windows and Doors just installed windows in my Colonie NY home. Note only are the windows are very high quality, the staff have been wonderful to deal with. From the representative who provided the estimate, the staff that scheduled the installation, to the installers, everyone has been very professional and helpful! I'd like to give a shout-out to the installers (Hector and his team) who did a professional job while accommodating my concerns. My neighbor said he was impressed with the job the installers did. Well done!

My representative John Acosta was extremely kind, prompt and provided all information to any questions that I had. He gave me a full picture of what I can expect when I book my project to replace my siding and windows.. I look forward to having this work done by a very reputable company. I feel very comfortable using them.
