The Delmar Bootery is the only place I’ve ever taken old shoes to for repairs and they did the same great work that I’ve become accustomed to again. Also, Mandy provided excellent service with my purchase of new boots. I’ll definitely be back!

I've had shoes and boots repaired here three times now and I couldn't be happier. It is very difficult to find someone to do repairs. The price is reasonable, the quality of work excellent, and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. I live about an hour away and I'd drive farther if I had to. So happy to have found this place!

I stopped in yesterday evening to see about a pair of boots... the ones I have seemingly failing to keep the damp and cold out... the selection is narrow, but quality... which also translates to expensive. they did not have my size in the boot I thought might work for me, BUT... Serena (hopefully spelling that right) was SO kind and actually sprayed my boots for me to help keep the water out. this is what customer service is all about. Gold star.

Absolutely recommend this shop for shoe repair. I had a pair of boots that had the sole separated from the top of the boot. They fixed it and the price was very reasonable. I was also looking to purchase some shoe cleaning products and the gal who was working gave me great advice. Very knowledgeable and customer service is outstanding.

Every time I’ve been in, the customer service is just horrible. The salesperson scoffed at me when I asked to try on a pair of shoes. And then immediately after I put them on, she asked “are you gonna buy those?” in a very demeaning tone. I hate to give local stores bad reviews but this is a repeat example. I thought it she was just having a bad day the first time, but she’s acted the same, berating way for 3 visits. It’s no way to treat customers.

I happened to be in Stuyvesant Plaza when I noticed this store. I was in the market for a pair of Alden boots, and wanted to support local businesses, I stopped in to see if they had any. When I walked in I was approached by a blonde woman who offered to help me. She seemed agitated but I chalked it up to just her maybe being busy. I saw the pair I wanted, said it was the color I was looking for (brown) and asked if they had any in my size. Immediately I was asked, "you know how much those cost, right?" After affirming that yes, I was aware of the price, I reiterated if they had the size in my color. This woman basically stomped to the back of the store to grab the box and brought them over to me. However, the color of the boots were black (not what I had asked for). I said they fit great and asked again if they had them in brown. At this point she let out an extremely exacerbated sigh and said that I would have to order them. I basically just walked out at this point. The attitude when I walked in was horrible, the snide remark about the price was extremely off-putting, and you could have saved yourself the horrible experience of having to deal with a customer if you had just told me you didn't have them in brown. I bought them online and will not be going back. To the owner of the store, why is this woman working here? Is she a family friend? Did you lose a bet? Is she blackmailing you? This person belongs tucked in the back, far away from any potential customers.

I've had these boots since 2010 and it took me so long to find a place to do maintenance on them. They look and feel just like the day I bought them!
