Best Biergarten in the Capital District! Huge outdoor venue and dinners on Friday nights. Their Father’s Day picnic is great with live music and exGerman food!

Great food and drink. Friendly people. Stop by on a Friday evening for a bite or a drink. Look for their special events: two summer picnics and other events throughout the year. Sadly they don't have visible enough signage indicating special events from the main road. Look at their website and put them on your calendar. You don't need to be a member to attend.

The Albany area's last remaining German Club. Activities, year-round Friday beer garden, traditional food. Often live music. A great place to enjoy/learn about German culture and traditions. All welcome

This club is at the end of our street. It's a social club started in 1895. It has many events open to the public. There are picnics on the third Sunday of each month beginning with the summer kickoff Father's Day picnic in their Schuetzenpark Biergarten. $3 cover charge for six hours of beer, food, & live music by various German style bands. Big, shady picnic area for your enjoyment. Wednesday evenings 7:30-1130 the club is open to the public. On Fridays German style dinner are available by reservation only. Reservations can be made on Wed after 9:00am. Call Caroline (518) 482-5845. The Friday evening dinners (5-9pm) are authentic German dishes like Oma would make. Music provided by various members. Their Facebook page is a good place to see the Friday dinner schedule. As there are no German style restaurants in the immediate Capitol District this is the place to try many things from a wurst platter to their always sold out Rouladen dinner. The members are a very welcoming group. Try either a picnic or dinner if you want a unique experience in the neighborhood. Note: we are not members, just neighbors. Nick & Liz, Colonie, NY

Not a bad place to hold a small party or event at, lots of parking and very clean. Staff was friendly as well, and very strict on the cleanup after the event.
