Always only one person working the customer service desk, and right now 7 people in line and no one seems to bother asking for another person to work one of the 5 stations

I special ordered some hardware online and mistakenly had it sent here instead of my local Home Depot. So, I came here one evening to pick up by items as well as walk around and get a few other things. There were a ton of employees walking around and talking, so I don't know if they expected a crowd that night or not. I asked someone for help and he sort of knew the area (he directed me to three aisles) and I eventually found it on my own. Just as I went up to the customer service desk to collect my special order, the power went out. Apparently, an entire section of Central Avenue went black. The store's emergency generators came on within about 20 seconds but they couldn't use the computers to locate my special order. The woman behind the counter dug around and finally found it. This must happen a lot as she was completely unfazed by it though other employees didn't know what to do (I heard one ask "should we still let people in?") Her phone kept ringing too but for at least a minute but she didn't notice it until I pointed it out to her. It was a weird experience standing in a dark Home Depot.

Very bad one storefront. The service attitude is very poor. I waited for half an hour to just cut some wood. After I finished cutting, I knew that I had to charge. The wall was free. The third knife that was written in inconspicuous small words started to be 50 cents per knife. It is a profiteer.

I had a great experience here today, everyone was very friendly, kind, I was asked if I needed help several times. I was guided in the right direction several times. A nice older gentleman helped me make some keys and he was very friendly and kind. An overall great experience

Shame on you for firing Mr. Rucker based on his explanation he handled the situation really well. On matters like this you should really weight the specifics. Guess I'll check out Loews -- bTW my post was removed which I do NoT appreciate I WAS a customer of Home Depot until now !!

Home Depot sides with white supremacists and fascists over its own employees. A white supremacist customer unleashed a racist tirade against one of Home Depot's employees, and when the employee politely stood up for himself, Home Depot fired him! And the company even had the gall to defend their sickening behavior and foist all the blame on its employee (who was getting paid minimum wage). Home Depot is nothing but a fascist-enabler. Notably, the company is a huge donor to the Trump regime. Clearly, firing black people for talking back to white folk is how they're "making America great again." #BoycottHomeDepot

Your employees are the foundation of your company. To allow one customer to verbally assault your employee is disgusting enough, but to fire that employee is even more deplorable.

Absolutely DISGUSTED with the decision to terminate a long term employee over standing up to a customer for being verbally harassed. As a person of color that knows what it's like to have someone degrade you based on the color of your skin, I can tell you that it is hurtful and irrfuritating. Maurice Rucker handled himself and the situation better than most people would in that situation and should have been backed by the company that he dedicated so many years to. Clearly wh

Unlike the folks from California who gave a poor review because of the firing of Maurice Rucker, I actually live in Albany and frequently shop at the Central Ave. store. I can assure management that I will not be shopping at this Depot until Mr. Rucker is rehired. I worked in management for many years and this is not how you treat a long time employee. Disgraceful! I guess I'll be going to Crossgates Commons or better yet, Lowes.

Don't trust the carpet section in Home Depot. The employee picked a carpet for me .i told her this is not the one I want . She said "it has to be more than .99$ per foot so you get a free measuring after that you can change to what kind you want " after the estimate I came back to Home Depot I asked to switch to different carpet! The said NO you can't ! I told the useless manager about the problem he said "Sorry I can't do that " even I explained to him what his employee did !! So my estimate went from 2450$ to 3442$ !!! I Called and canceled it the said ok we will cancel it but you have to talk to Home Depot Albany ! I went back to them and asked them to cancel it THE USELESS MANAGER DECLINED IT AGAIN!! Bottom line is I HATE HOME Depot I promise I will never go there again!!!! And once the carpet arrive I will bring it back to Home Depot!!!!

Everyone there is just pleasant and helpful. Staff are always willing to help out and always ask if I've found what I was looking for or help me out, answer questions and I always leave the shop more knowledgeable! :)

Totally adequate Home Depot that I have noticed often has more things in stock than other locations in the area. The online inventories don't always reflect this, for reasons that are known but unto Home Depot, but several times I've found things not in stock at other stores. This specifically includes a better stock of lumber - so tired of having nothing to choose from a pile of 2x4s that is all knots or dings or both. Heavily contractor-patronized place during weekdays.
