Makes me feel a little less bad JoAnns is going out of business after coming across the cashier at this location by the name of Latisha. Absolutely rude and hope you learn basic manners. The cutting counter staff was great though.

The Joann's in the Target Plaza on Central Ave. Colonie, is overpriced, doesn't have enough craft supplies, and has horrible customer service. Condescending, arrogant, and sarcastic staff in the fabric department coupled with obnoxious register staff makes going there an unpleasant ordeal. Fortunately I can get most sewing and hobby items in other local stores now, or online. I haven't been there in nearly a year, and I don't foresee going back.

I get it, you hate your job. Seriously this place needs to have a trainer come in and teach customer service. The staff on the registers are very rude and dismissive.

It’s bad enough that JoAnns have become a pool of fleece and quilting fabrics. But when you walk in at 8:45 and the rude manager barks at you to let you know that you only have 15 minutes to shop you just wonder how long they can exist with the poor customer service and minimal options. Just to think this was once a store I loved to go in with my mom when I was a little girl. Well it’s clear the fantasy of it all is OVER. Too grumpy for my blood.

I live in Canada and the two Joann stores closest to the Canada/USA border in New York state, closed down after Covid.I'm currently in the USA on a road trip and came across this Joann. It's twice as large as the one in Ogdensburg, NY that I often went to.I was in a rush as we had to be on the road again, so only had 25 minutes to look around and purchase any items. I bought two licensed fabrics and a cross stitching kit. I love how they still have coupons and offer teacher discounts!Oh, how I miss going to Joann! It was like revisiting an old friend.
