We are thrilled with the superb work of Kitchen and Bath World from beginning to end. We renovated two bathrooms in quite different styles. The first is simple and contemporary, the second involved an intricate pattern of colorful tiles forming wall-size images.Sara worked with us on the design, asking many questions to understand our aesthetic aims and practical needs, and offering a variety of options for us to choose among to achieve our goals. She also provided a variety of very effective ideas and solutions, considering the physical constraints of the (relatively small) spaces, to ensure the best use of spaces and to create a very open feel in both bathrooms, all in a cost-effective manner. The actual construction was done in an extremely professional manner by workers who were not only highly-skilled but also friendly, considerate of our needs, and responsive to our questions and concerns as the projects progressed.Particularly impressive, amazing really, was the tile work performed by Cliff. The colorful bathroom involved laying more than 1,000 tiles, and cutting more than 100 tiles to create the intricate design. It also involved the fitting of the many tiles to very close tolerance specifications. Cliff was both masterful and highly conscientious in completing this tile work. The result is stunning. In addition, along the way in both bathrooms, specific questions arose about alternative approaches to implementing features of the design. Cliff identified and raised these questions for us to think about, and he offered aesthetically pleasing solutions. In short, Cliff’s work was thoughtful, technically masterful, and informed by his strong sense of aesthetic beauty. We are most impressed by Kitchen and Bath World for their general approach, their implementation, and the final product in renovating both bathrooms. Kitchen and Bath World has our highest recommendation.

This was our first major home project. We were intimidated by finding private contractors, so we chose KBW bc their workers are employed by KBW. The design phase was flawless. We found it smooth and the mock-ups looked great. Now to our concerns. We were shocked at the lack of communication.- KBW provided an initial quote for the project in Feb., however we knew that additional costs were added (like flooring). KBW did not provide a final cost of the project until the first day of work.- KBW never provided a project schedule, and payments were based on project timeline. KBW did not notify us ahead of time when a payment would be expected. A rep from KBW would show up, unannounced, and ask for a check for an amount that was not disclosed to us until arrival. One day we were out at breakfast and received a call that the person collecting payments was at our house. When collecting thousands of dollars, a head ups is basic courtesy.KBW poorly managed their workers and resources, resulting in the project taking twice as long.- KBW measured the floor incorrectly, causing a 5 day delay. However, KBW did comp this cost.- We paid KBW a $10,000 deposit in Feb. KBW said this was so that they could begin ordering materials for the project. Our project started in Nov. The counter tops were ordered 2 weeks before the start date, and the shipment was delayed, which added a week to the project.- We planned a trip where we would be gone 3 days. We specifically planned this trip to get out of the house while they were working on the kitchen. KBW told us that 2 workers would be there all 3 days. However, only 1 worker showed up for 1 day. KBW never informed us that the workers weren’t there, and we only found out when we asked the worker directly. The initial craftsmanship on some aspects of the kitchen was poor. Had we not spoken up about our concerns, there would be many minor flaws with the kitchen. The pictures attached are showcase some of the concerns below.1. Flooring - We went with a wood floor to match our current floor. We had to have them replace 4 boards because they were raised an unacceptable amount. The replaced floor boards look better but they now squeak when stepped on. You can feel the board move up and down.2. Tile - We got a tile backsplash installed and the craftsmanship again was poor. We had KBW come back out to remove a few tiles and install new tile correctly. The person who had to reinstall the tile was swearing to himself in the kitchen during fix which made us feel uncomfortable for the few hours he was in our house. He muttered to himself, "I hate my F***ing life”. This was said multiple times.3. Touch up paint - KBW had forgotten to touch up the paint on a small section in between our window and cabinets. Mistakes happen, but when asked to come back out to fix it, the person did not try to make it look professional. Paint was smeared over the cabinets, and the wrong color touch up paint was used on our windowsill. KBW said he didn’t have the right paint on him, but he is the one who painted it originally. He should have went back to the warehouse and got the right paint then.4. They had to patch the ceiling near the original ceiling light. The picture attached is their first attempt. When asked to fix it they said that patch work cannot “eliminate the divide.” I had to bring this up multiple times before they finally decided to patch it.There were plenty of other small issues we had throughout the build. KBW would benefit greatly by having someone check the quality of their employees work. It should not be up to the customer to raise basic concerns on bad craftsmanship. In conclusion, we want it to be known we do love our kitchen and the final product does look great. That being said, you MUST advocate for yourself throughout the entire project or you will get taken advantage of. If you do not, they will put in the least amount of effort to get the job done and then show up unannounced to collect their payment. There is no one checking their work but you.

Every phase of our kitchen remodel was a wonderful experience. It started with visiting the Kitchen & Bath World showroom. Seeing their design ideas first hand was the first indication that we were making the right choice. Sara is incredibly patient, insightful and creative. She came up with a beautiful design and then worked with us to allow us to customize to our unique tastes. When it came time for the remodel, her team was prompt, respectful and extremely skilled (shout out to Eddie, Joe Jr and Paul!). We asked so…many…questions…and yet they never made us feel like we were interrupting their work. Instead, they included us in the process to ensure we were getting our dream kitchen. Living in a 100 year old house, we ran into some roadblocks. Sara and her team worked with us to mitigate the issues in a timely fashion to keep the project on schedule. We are so thankful to Kitchen & Bath World for the amazing work they did. We absolutely love every aspect of our new kitchen and could not recommend them more!Services: Kitchen countertop installation

Let me start by saying I have never ever written a bad review about anyone or anything. However, the customer service with Kitchen & Bath World is so horrendous that I feel the need to.When we first started working with KBW, we worked with Emily. She was amazing! She designed us a beautiful kitchen!! She always got back to us if we had any questions. She truly was great to work with. I also have to say that all of the gentleman that came to install the cabinets/counters were also wonderful. Very professional!A little less than a year after our cabinets were installed we noticed two of them were cracking already! I sent Emily an email to see what we can do. I never heard back so I ended up texting her (I had her number from when she designed the kitchen). Emily told me that she was no longer working with KBW and she referred me to Illiana. I emailed her and told her the issue. She asked me to email over pictures of the cabinets and she would take care of it. A few weeks went by and I heard nothing back so I emailed her again. She wrote back and asked for pictures again. I sent them again.Several weeks went by and again…. No communication. After emailing her and calling her and no response I sent an email to the main KBW email. I was then told Illiana no longer worked there and Carmesha would be available to help me. Again… emailed with Carmesha a few times. She ordered cabinets. When the new doors came in the big pantry door was more damaged then the one I already had. She told me she would order a new one. Again, I wait and wait and wait and no communication. Turns out… Carmesha also left KBW! I’m then referred to Chelsea. SAME THING. Emailing… no response… guess what… now Chelsea no longer works there. We’re now going on close to ONE YEAR of dealing with this. I finally get in touch with Sara, the owner of KBW. Sara emails me back and apologizes but then tells me a personal story as to why she hasn’t been involved and had no clue about my issue. As much as I can sympathize with her personal issues… that’s not my business and quite honestly it was unprofessional of her to tell me. Sara assured me she will take care of it. Several weeks go by… no communication from Sara. At this point I’m just livid. Finally another pantry door comes in…. Guess what damaged. Sara then starts to have the pantry doors sent to my house for me to inspect. I would think at this point being the owner of the company SHE would want to inspect them. We went through several weeks/months of no communication because she just doesn’t feel the need to respond. The last door they installed was also damaged and wouldn’t close all the way. Again she ordered another one for me to inspect. We scheduled for them to come this morning between 9-10. The gentleman shows up at 8:00 am and says they didn’t tell him a time, they just told him to come here. He was very nice and worked as quickly as he could but it completely screwed up my morning of getting kids off to school. They installed the new cabinet door… this is now the 5th or 6th one??? Again it doesn’t sit flush! At this point I’m just going to deal with my door not closing all the way because Sara is awful to deal with. Good luck if you’ve already signed a contract with them. I hope for your sake you never run in to an issue because Sara truly DOES NOT CARE! She is the most unprofessional person I’ve ever dealt with.Service: Remodeling

I would run as fast as possible based on my experience. I made an appt which was an hour long. I showed up slightly late and they made me cancel the whole appt instead of shorten it by the time I arrived. I then scheduled a second appt and when I arrived they told me to look around and call when I want to order something so not sure why my first appt had to be cancelled. It seemed they didn’t take me seriously unless I wanted to spend tens of thousands of dollars. I regretfully ordered a vanity and top. After four months, it came in so many parts it looked like an ikea box. The vanity top was not even cut for a sink opening and it took my contractor the entire day to put it together. I was told at the time of sale the filler and shelf needed to be built; there was never mention of cutting sink holes! I spoke to the owner who told me that is how they sell the product and it must be my contractor who is not skilled enough. They also quoted me 25,000 to update a small bathroom. In my opinion this place is a complete rip off.

We had Kitchen and Bath World design and supply our kitchen and bathrooms for our new home. From the beginning we felt very comfortable and were happy with the wide selection of products they offer. I am a home builder and so I installed the cabinetry myself. We had a hard deadline to complete the home and KBW delivered on time in the middle of the supply chain issues we are experiencing. KBW also handled the installation of the countertops we selected. We would highly recommend Kitchen and Bath World to anyone in the market for a new kitchen or bathroom.Erik KohlerKohler HomesServices: Kitchen cabinet design

Since I was unable to accompany my Mother during her visit to Kitchen & Bath World I had her keep me on speaker phone and let me tell you, I am very glad I did. When my Mother asked to speak with a Designer she was instead directed to a very phony girl named Ashley who must be an intern still in high school. For just about every simple question my mother had the girl had to run off and ask someone else, and when she returned she'd try to manipulate the conversation to get my Mother to go home and get the answers herself online. It can't be completely Ashley's fault that she is in way over her head, just make sure that when you go there you ask for an ACTUAL Designer, not the intern who hopes you'll decide to leave. Hopefully she doesn't rely on commission.

*Update 1/4/22: Having used the Kitchen & Bath spaces now for 8 months, I feel silly for complaining about the caulk and yard damage. It is much worse. With normal everyday use, the faucet & drain black finishes have worn off, the bathroom towel bar and toilet paper have fallen off the wall. Some trim along the cabinets was not even attached, came off in my hand while cleaning. Huge gap of space between the counter and the wall that was only partially filled with grout. The posts that hold up the granite countertop on the kitchen island are not attached at all, they easily move around and can slide out, great for cleaning I guess. I find a new discovery everyday and have to constantly make small repairs to the spaces that were remodeled. Sara said she would send someone in the Spring to repair the caulk, but that never materialized. I will update BBB as the case was closed based on her amicable resolution to repair the damaged caulk on the crown molding. Also, apparently K & B was able to block or remove a previous negative review.Service: Remodeling

I specifically highly recommend Emily LaRose at KBW. I am not particularly visionary, but what I like when I see it, as well as appreciate artistic design and beauty. Emily came into my kitchen, that needed much help, and was able to see it as a blank slate of design opportunity. She was completely up to the task and excited to have it as a clean slate. I was blown away by the renderings and was not expecting that gut reaction. We have had our kitchen now for 3 years and it designed SO amazing that I still feel amazing to be in the space. The entire design was not only beautiful but highly functional. I would not change a single drawer or cabinet. Some people are lucky enough to do as a profession what they have gifts in, Emily is one of them. I can't wait to work with her again. At the end of the day, its not just a kitchen, its where we are a family, now we all congragate to this space.
