“A delay due to weather but cleared up the very next day.

Had an issue with a chair I had bought and had the white glove service from SCI used to build it at my home office, it had been four years since I bought the piece so I was not expecting much from my request for a replacement part.

However very quickly I am told the part I need is in and I can drop the chair off to be repaired, all within the span of ten days! Pretty fast.

The issue came with the weather of recent, as my old man was able to drop the chair off in the morning on a Monday and the idea was the repair would take but a few hours and I would pick it up later that afternoon when I got out work. But when I arrived later that day I found a sign on the door, they closed due to the storm. It's not a short drive from Saratoga Springs to Albany and then all the way back home in Amsterdam, so I was mildly perturbed.

The next day I returned at the same time and found them open this time, of course I also called ahead to make sure the chair was good to go, and I was fully expecting to pay for the repair. Sure the part might have been covered under warranty but surely not the service? Turns out everything was! I don't know if it was a kindness for the inconvenience, or if it actually was all covered under the terms and conditions of my original purchase, but I'm pleased as punch.

Originally I was going to say 4/5 for the fact no one had reached out to let me know I shouldn't bother trying to pickup that one day, but because of the fact it all turned out to be free (minus the gas and time) I'll bump that up to a 4.5 out of 10. (but since Google doesn't do half stars, a five is what it will be)”
