The theater is very beautiful. The atmosphere is nice. The seats are comfortable and the staff was great during the show I attended.

What a treasure. Has that old-school charm that is missing from so many modern venues. Cozy theater that has great acoustics and seats. The parking is not so great but the venue makes up for it. Arrive early to avoid issues finding your seat and getting settled. The concession stand can get a little crowded.
The Palace Performing Arts Center, Inc. is the non-profit organization that owns, operates, maintains and programs downtown Albany's historic Palace Theatre. Originally built as a movie house in 1931, the Palace is now known for its broad selection of entertainment from rock concerts to classical music, from comedians to kids programs, from theatrical events to community events. And yes, we still show classic movies on the big screen in addition to our more modern offerings!
