I was mistakenly charged a late fee due to a computer issue and Dino explained the issue and refunded me. When I picked up my truck it didn't have a full tank, and that wasn't reflected in the contract he indicated. I explained it was a little under and he took my word for it and refunded the gas charge, as well. Honest and excellent customer service from Dino.

I just rented a truck from these guys for about 2 months and it was nothing but problems I call them for compensation for all the days they had the truck in the shop and they told me several times they would call me back and they would never call back. They would only call me when they needed money or I owed them something horrible customer service would not recommend. I had a problem with the truck and they swore to me. They do have a truck for me and when I called to go get the truck. They try and put me in a 26 foot truck when I had a 18 foot truck definitely do not recommend.

I had several issues getting through my truck rental, but in each case, working with a human being got me past them. I started with the Penske website, which is not as useful as it could be. Every time I tried to specify a 1-way rental, it defaulted to a 3-day, unlimited mileage rental, at a cost generally starting at $850 and going up from there. I switched to same location pick-up and drop off, which provided realistic rates, but it would not let me specify pick-up and return times other than 7am. I called their toll-free number, and within 5 minutes of speaking to someone, I had the arrangement I wanted. When I arrived, my truck was not ready, because the previous renter did not return it on time. The woman with whom I worked was able to get me a slightly smaller truck (which was initially at the same rate) with a slightly increased daily rate discount (over AAA), and 50% off on mileage. The move went smoothly. When I returned the truck, the mileage discount was not already in the agreement, and this same woman had to, and was able to, put it into the contract at the agreed-upon rate. So it was a decent, not horrible, experience, and having gone through it, I know even better how to go through this should I ever need to make another rental.

I rented a 16ft moving truck and car transport from Penske, on Warehouse Rd. In Albany, and it was a smart choice. The customer service I received was impeccable. The truck and equipment were well maintained and clean. The best part...the price, you can't get better pricing.

Consider your other options, have rented here for 10 years usually only a few times a year and have for the most part always had good experiences but feel I was mistreated my last visit. I usually pay around $200-$250 for a 26' rental, pick up in the morning and drop off less than 12 hours later, always clean the truck when I'm done, usually its cleaner than when I received it. I understand there is inflation and would of expected maybe a $50 increase and been happy to pay it but my rate doubled and went up to $500. $500 to rent a truck for 12 hours and drive it less than 400 miles. Called to discuss it and was told that's the new rate and pretty much to deal with it. Oh you have rented with us as a loyal customer for 10 years? Deal with it. Appreciate it Penske!

Rented a tractor for work because ours was in the shop. Stood in waiting room for 10 minutes while people walking around and nobody even asked if we were helped. Then it's time to get rental and staff says just have to make sure everything is a go. No problem says fuel is full def is full no damage just sign here. I point out borderline tires but still legal. I drove 10 miles and noticed the miles they said truck went out at was off 597 miles 1/2 a tank of fuel and def could of been a error on mileage but we weren't paying for an extra 600 miles fuel and def was about $360.00 to top off How do you say you are going to bring truck around just want to make sure all fluids are full and forget!! Thankfully I took time stamped photos.

(Here is a follow up) ::: Don't even TRY to reason with these ill-equipped, poorly trained, and thoroughly unprofessional crooks. "Yes, we made the mistake not telling you about the daily rate. Yes we should train people better. No, We are NOT going to do anything about it." Trust me on this...go to Hertz, go to Enterprise. At least those companies are something Penske is not...HONEST. Their truck was fine. A brand new Ford cargo vehicle. But... they never mentioned the $85/daily charge, they never mentioned taxes and fees, and they couldn't return the security deposit. I went through Saratoga's Home Depot. The workers there were very nice but thoroughly untrained and incapable of processing paperwork. The one person didn't even know where the rental trucks were parked outside.

I recently coordinated a cross-country move for my retired father and after a TON of research (moving during COVID is truly the wild west!), Penske was the best option for us to rent. We rented a 16' truck and drove it from Albany to Nashville TN. The price was fair, the milage unlimited, and having the truck for 7 days allowed us to pack and drive at a reasonable pace.We plan to move the remainder of dads things next year, and we will 10/10 use a Penske truck to do it!
