I will NEVER bring my baby here, I’m not sure what they did to her but when she arrived home she was completely out of it and seemed extremely frightened and flinching whenever I simply walked to her as if she was being abused! My baby has never acted this way and I do not put my hands on her for her to be acting like an abused animal! She refused to eat and would normally beg for food when we eat and she did nothing but isolate herself and slept. I am heartbroken as Im not sure what’s going on with her.. And also one of the employees made a comment that made me feel a bit uneasy.. “You can tell she’s spoiled and not use to being on a leash only used to being cuddled”

Rude and unethical groomers. Traumatized our dog and after four hours of waiting (they told us it would only take 2.5-3 hours) they never actually groomed her. They claimed our dog was “too difficult” and couldn’t continue to groom her after the bath. I highly doubt that. The more likely story is they forgot to groom her and when we arrived to pick our dog up, they panicked and rushed our dog into the bath. They then gave us our dog back absolutely soaked. The manager was exceptionally rude when giving us the refund. Stupidly, we tipped before getting our dog back. Do not trust Abigail Klob — she never gave the tip back even though she never actually did any work.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I tried to buy a gold fish today for my 10 gallon tank and they wouldn’t sell it to me because they say it needs a 30 gallon tank. It’s a gold fish. Mind you they have 100’s of them crammed into 1 10 gallon tank. When I pointed that out they refused to sell me any fish. This store really needs to improve in staff because the staff member that helped me was extremely rude. Very disappointed.

I bought a canary from Petsmart in Albany, NY, recently. As I looked at the canary in her cage, she was skinny, and I noticed there were feces all throughout her seed cup. The water dish was cloudy water with a lot of debris in it. The bottom of her cage was filthy, also.
I looked into the other bird cages, and they, too, were filthy.
I brought my new canary home and she ate for twenty minutes straight! She was very hungry and thirsty.
Even though none of the birds at Petsmart are being cared for, I found it strange how friendly the staff was. I've been a Petsmart shopper for many years in many states. I have never seen animal cages in such poor condition. I feel sorry for these poor animals in Albany, NY, Petsmart.

If I could put no stars I would. The entire experience at this store was horrible. I would like to start by saying that the conditions the betta fish are kept is disgraceful. Not only are they kept in small cups but the water in those cups was filthy. I have had fish my whole life and I know that the water has been left like that for a few days. Most of the fish were suffering and looked like they were about to die. So, I decided to try and help one of the fish by taking it home and trying to rehabilitate it. So I picked up a hospital tank and a few other things just to get the poor fish out of the environment. As I went to the checkout I asked the cashier if I could have a discount since the fish was on death’s door. The cashier proceeded to give me an attitude and tell me that they don’t do that. I figured fine I will just pay for the fish. However the man proceeds to lecture me about fish care telling me everything I had was wrong. I told him that this store keeps them in cups literally anything is better than that temporarily. He would not take that for an answer and proceeds to call over the manager. So, thinking I could explain myself to the manager, I proceed to tell her that this is a temporary tank for the fish. She did not want to hear it and told me that PetSmart policy is I have to get a 3.5 gallon or bigger tank. Now all of a sudden they care about the conditions the fish are in? Really? It was like the dirty cups didn’t even matter and that somehow I AM the problem here. I tried to be as reasonable as I could but the logic behind her answers was incomprehensible. It seemed like all of this was a major power trip and sales tactic to force people into spending more money. If they cared about the welfare of the fish, they would not be kept in dirty cups and left to die in the first place. I was both heartbroken and infuriated by the entire incident. The takeaway from this: don’t shop at PetSmart and don’t support this atrocious industry. They are out for your money even if that means animals dying.

Petsmart has knowledgeable and helpful employees. The prices are ridiculous. I cannot afford to spend more on cat food than my own. Stanley, my cat is a gift from God, But I cannot afford to feed him from Petsmart.

Store hours said open til 8pm. Doors were locked and the employee basically looked at me and worded closed. It was 755pm. I understand I cut it close. But now my pet is without something when their motto is "we'll do anything for pets". Despite closing 5 minutes early. When I would've been in and out within 3. Why have store hours if not followed. Your doors should lock at 8pm. Not before.

Caroline is a terrible groomer. She is lazy. She complains about her job and her boss. She does not do a good job on the dogs and when she doesn't do a good job on the dog she blames it on the dog. Stay away from that groomer. Definitely get someone else and even that will be a toss-up. It's not worth it if you love your dog

Really like to put negative -5 stars. But I can’t do that, the incompetence and unprofessionalism of the grooming department is absolutely horrendous!!! I waited four weeks for an appointment, the first appointment she gave me was not even the correct Day or time, so I came back on that same day just to be told to go home because I didn’t have an appointment, it was the following week. I showed up the following week and they did not put me down for the correct appointment. It was a really simple cut. It’s not that hard to do… I did not ask for the entirety of the dog to be shaped down. I asked for a cleanup, So I had to reschedule and finally when they Saw the dog, They couldn’t even do the services I asked for, I wasted four weeks for something that I should’ve probably gone somewhere else for. If I wanted her head, shaved, and butt shaved, I would’ve just given her a bath at home. They had a puppy for four hours, and still couldn’t even trim her. Nice, real professional.

I have brought my Aussie there before for grooming services with no problem. but today once getting home I noticed how poor of a job they did. Extremely choppy work and hairs that looked as if they weren’t even trimmed. Considering the service is around $100 and she was there for 4 hours a better job should have been done.
