This was a pleasant experience from start to finish. All the staff was helpful and they did what they said they were going to do. Actually, the window was done earlier than expected. 5 stars!

Made appointment online a week before purchasing a vehicle as it was going to need a door window replacement. The day I picked up the vehicle I got an email stating that they needed the VIN. Immediately provided the VIN and got a response that they had to cancel my appointment to order the glass. Now I am driving a car without a window in a particularly wet season in upstate new york. I rescheduled my appointment as per instructions for 2 weeks later. Got another email 4 days after scheduling my appointment asking for the VIN again. (Same employee). Was then told for the first time that they have to order the window from the manufacturer and it will change my quote. Amidst all of this I am getting emails about missing an appointment for the first appointment etc. even though they cancelled it. I give up you win ill just take the car to the dealership. Makes me nervous to have a window replaced when even scheduling the appointment has been a nightmare.UPDATE: Just got another email from the same employee stating that they never got my VIN as there were no notes on the account or anything in regards to my cancelled appointment. I just forwarded them the email chain that we were previously having about them having to cancel my appointment and confirming they received the VIN number. (again dealing with the same person)

Safelite was great in scheduling my appointment, and the replacement was quick and easy. The staff was friendly and helpful in explaining the process. I would recommend Safelite to everyone.

Let me first start by saying that the initial appointment went well; and the technician that arrived and his communication was exceptional. Once he arrived, he looked at my car and determined they needed to order a different weatherstripping for my car....okay....I get it; I'd rather have the right part than have them try to cob-job another piece in there...so, he said he'll call his office and have them order the part, and he'll be back to do the install...four weeks later, not a peep from Safelite...so I attempt to get a hold of someone to find out the status, as by now, my car's inspection expired and I cannot drive it. Into voicejail hell I go....FINALLY I try their online help center...after a bit of wrangling, I am given the direct number to the local shop, I call and I'm redirected to corporate voicejail hell again. I engage the safelight online help center again, and I'm given a different number for the local shop...hallelujah - I get an actual PERSON, they take my info, and say someone will call me back within the hour....a week later, I still have nothing, no call, no windshield; no inspection, no useable car...so I give up, I call Glass America on Friday, they're here on a Monday morning, excellent communications from the technician and my windshield is being replaced as we speak. I'll review them, once they're done, but Safelight seems to not be able to communicate with their customers if there are special circumstances outside of their limited menu of automated call center; and forget about ever contacting the individual shop directly to speak with someone. Once again, the technician that arrived to my house was great - it's whatever happens at the office end or corporate end that's seemingly the issue. Also, let me add, that Glass America was nearly $125 less than Safelite, and Glass America didn't charge an additional fee to perform the work on location at my home (all of which was doubly important since I was paying out of pocket for this replacement). Safelight had an additional charge for performing the work at a location other than their shop. UPDATE: The work by Glass America was completed in the time I wrote this review, the molding was the correct one; and so far, the work looks good....I'll do a review on them in about two weeks, once I see how it holds up in the rain....but at least I have a windshield again and can get my car inspected!

Couple weeks ago a stone came off of back of a trailer bust my windshield so I wind up going up to Safelite Albany. Well, if you got a windshield problem, that's the best place to go. Brittany, the receptionist very sweet. Very lovable willing to help you in the technicians are very professional, honest and fast. Like I said, if you have an issue with your windshield give them a call

I had an appointment today that the tech never showed up to. We waited all morning, not able to use our car, and there was no contact from the company that they would not be coming. I wasted more time calling around trying to figure out what was happening. A phone number a service agent provided me with was out of service. Finally another agent said the shop would return my call to set up an appointment for today but I am still waiting for a return call. Unbelievable waste of my time and hugely unprofessional.

Great company! Reasonably priced. I submitted my inquiry online which is very easy to do so and got a quote within minutes. They scheduled me for service the next day and were done in an hour! Highly recommend

Made two appointments through my insurance. Both days, no one came. I called my insurance and there was a note that a technician came out but there was no one home and my cell phone didnt work - which were both lies! I also have a camera out front. I understand shit happens but it shouldn't be this confusing. I made an appointment for another location.

Made appointment, they Came with wrong windshield, waited a week and set up another appointment, took time off from work and they canceled an hr before they were to show up the 2nd time citing that the window was damaged. Installer was great on last 2 windshields I've had replaced and tried his best to accommodate, but the company itself is a joke. Call glass America instead

My husband wasted a day of leave and they never showed up or called. He took the day off because he didn’t want there to be any issues with them getting through security on base. They were supposed to be here between 12-5. When he called at 4:50 all he got was automated system. Please save yourself the time & frustration and go with any other company!
