Stopped to talk to them about have an exhaust system done and the owner was so rude, aggressive, and off putting that I walked out, would not recommend them to anybody! Steer clear of the shop!

Would give 6 stars if I could! I had an appt for my car’s inspection the day before a cross country trip, fully expecting all good reviews and to be ready to go since I didn’t notice or hear any issues. Turns out that wasn’t the case and I needed 4 new tires and new brakes - not an ideal situation and I wasn’t sure what I was going to do. They were able to squeeze me in and get all the work done on my car the day I was leaving for my trip - and they got it done a couple hours before they thought they would, and I was able to leave earlier than planned.
I’m super grateful to Schoolhouse Auto because they saved me potentially thousands of dollars on a rental car, and they kept me safe on the road!

I have been bringing my 03 Honda (Yes, you read that right! 2003) to Kenta for about a year. He is always thorough, excellent in his explanations (which may come through the front desk, and she's great), and exacting in his work. He is honest and fair. The first time I went there, he filmed the undercarriage on his gopro as he works (hat attachment, I think) and shows me where the trouble areas are. You know he's good cause his business has really taken off this past year, so happy for him! He deserves it! He often presents me a couple repair options to see what is the least $$, try it first, and see how we do. This is important to me as a driver of a 20+ year old car, my daily driver. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I’m newer to the Albany area. I adore my WRX and didn’t want to bring it to any mechanic. Frankly, I don’t trust a lot of people. I’m glad I went here though. If you want a mechanic that is VERY thorough and trustworthy this is the place to go.
I had to get all 4 of my wheel bearings changed and my rear calipers were seized and needed to be rebuilt (which I wouldn't of known until he told me) He didn’t even agree to work on the car until he put the car on the lift and did a full inspection. He was SUPER busy, working by himself at the time and still got my car done in less than a week.
They’re honest and VERY straight forward. Nothing is sugar coated and he tells you the reality of the situation while saving money IF AND WHEN he can. I LOVED that and I will be sticking to Schoolhouse Auto.

Excellent mechanic who knows what he's talking about. Noticed our transmission pan leaking when we'd just had an inspection done with no one even mentioning it before - but was able to easily and readily show exactly what was happening.
