Went to have photos and a custom card made from pictures on my phone. Requirws staff service, zero help after 2 hours. Left and went to a competitor place (pharmacy) where I accomplished goal and made three albums in addition to the card.

I visited the store today to make a return. I stood at the copy center for several minutes while the only person at the counter was on a phone call. Four people were hanging out behind the counter chatting and NOT ONE acknowledged me. When this particular person finished the call, they muttered "people asking stupid questions" which shocked me because I was standing right there and they didn't seem to care that I heard it. This person began walking away so I said, "Excuse me. I have a return that is not Amazon. Where do I go to make the return?". Instead of simply directing me to the line, they grilled me about which vendor, which mailing service, did I get an email, how did I initiate the return, etc. - none of which were a response to my question and the abruptness and abrasiveness were uncalled for. They insisted I pull up the email and QR code and show them just so they could tell me they could take the return. That wasn't my question. I knew that Staples would process it because I selected this location from the options given and I've done this many times at other locations. I was simply asking where to stand to wait for someone to help me. This person was rude to me and rude to the person on the phone before me and this (plus other reviews) makes me think these were not isolated incidents. I didn't get the person's name but I hope that no one else has to endure this behavior.

I was in Albany recently while travelling on vacation. For some random reason, my laptop lost the ability to connect to wifi and therefore, the internet. This was a big disaster while travelling. I went to this store and the Sales Manager, Peter, took the time to diagnose the problem, reinstall the wifi driver and sent me on my way. Refused to let me pay him for his time! That was exceptional customer service!

Peter took time to fix my all in one printer. There was something in the printer feed that caused an error message. Peter also found the ink was working properly and fixed it. The two women at the cash register helped get the app set up for me. A huge thank uou to all!.All wetook the time to help Mr with the rewards

Last week, both my husband and I both purchased new computers at the Staples store in Northway Mall in Colonie, Albany NY. We worked with Peter DiGregorio on start to finish of the process. Highly experienced, Peter's knowledge of computer technology AND his customer service skills are OUSTANDING. Peter miraculously figured out a way to retrieve the long archive of our files from our truly dead family computer. He worked supportively with us on the selection of new computers and the appropriate service plans to meet our needs. Peter meticulously set up both computers and carefully walked each of us through the set ups and everything else. When he tells you that he is available for follow up questions, he means what he says. Additionally, Peter is well organized, sticks to his scheduling, follows up as promised, and is patient in explaining things and responding to questions or concerns. Peter is a fantastic asset to Staples and to the Albany/Colonie store in particular.

What has happened to this store?? the woman who answers the phone in the AM (finally!) and, rudely... and you KNOW which woman this is... is zero help. 12 minutes waiting for someone to pick up? this store is broken and needs fixing. I don't like leaving this kind of review, but come on... sticking luke-warm bodies in front of cash registers is not the answer.

We were in here a few weeks ago and my boyfriend was looking to buy a new computer chair. While we were there I needed to use the restroom, due to disability, I experience urgency and frequency. I walked all the way to the back of the store, down a semi long hallway to the bathrooms hidden in the back of the store. They were locked with a sign that said you had to ask for the pin. So I waddle back to the front and tell my boyfriend who flags down an employee. The male employee said he had to walk me back there to let me in which is weird. My boyfriend said “that’s weird” to which this employee spun around and rudely said “it’s not weird, it’s the store policy, blah blah blah” with this nasty rude attitude. It can be the store policy AND also rude. And frankly it’s incredibly inappropriate. A strange man I do not know has to walk to me to the hidden bathroom in the back of the store to let me in? Your story policy IS weird and is a sexual assault waiting to happen. Needless to say we immediately left after his attitude, and reported him and the store for this disgusting violating policy. Being disabled made this situation even worse, I would not have felt safe near this man if I was there alone. So never going back here again, rude creepy employees aren’t my thing. My boyfriend says the employees name was Victor.

This five star review is the result of an employee in the copy department. I believe her name is Saladasia. On 6/26/23 I brought in a few items that I wanted to have laminated. One was a sticky note that was written by my son, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 31 last Summer. The very day I was at Staples was the anniversary of the last day I saw my son. As I stood looking at my son’s sweet words to me, I started to cry. Saladasia did the laminating right then and there and handed them to me. Saying she was sorry for my loss and that I didn’t owe anything. That it was a gift from herI hope that anyone reading this review will take a beat to think about the impact a bit of kindness and compassion can mean to another. It doesn’t take much. We never know what is happening in the lives of those we encounter on a daily basis.Thank you Saladasia, for your kindness. It meant so much to me that I called the store to ask your name so that I could write this review
