I worked with Helathy Cafe for a baby shower. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. I highly recommend them for events in the area.

If you're browsing reviews to see if The Healthy Cafe Catering Co. is actually worth the 5-star hype and deserves your business, well the simplified answer is; absolutely! Coordinate with them for your event and you will not be disappointed.The Healthy Cafe Catering Co. is professional, well-respected in the community, has an expansive menu, top-notch response time, accommodates all sorts of tastes, events, and budgets, and of course... their food is absolutely delicious.No, I don't have any affiliation with anyone who works for/in this company. I hired this company for a baptism reception in November and guests (including the picky eaters) are still raving about the incredible food months later!More details if you're that person... (hello like-minded stranger!)Professionalism:Marissa was extremely helpful from start to finish and made the entire process so simple. She was the only person I communicated with, which was surprising and refreshing. There was no confusion, all questions were promptly answered, and it just felt very personalized. Although I know an entire team was involved in making this event so awesome, Marissa was with us the entire way, and her personal follow-through was beyond exceptional.Price:After thorough investigating, it was clear that The Healthy Cafe Catering Co. offered the best prices in the Albany area, especially for such an eclectic menu in a 5-star category.Full disclosure; I did end up spending more than originally planned, but that was purely out of convenience and to accommodate many varied tastes.(Ok ok, the other part of that truth... there were far too many delicious items on the menu, I added a personalized option [taco bar] and ordered 2.5x more than was needed because I wanted to send people [+myself] home with leftovers for the week leading up to Thanksgiving). Marissa pointed out that the amount of food/guest ratio was off, but I knew what I was doing. Best. Decision. Ever.Although I ended up going over my budget, I can say it was absolutely worth it, and feel like we received even more than we paid for.Now, the reason you're really here:THE FOOD...Everything was made with top quality ingredients, cooked to perfection (and reheated beautifully), and the flavors were beyond amazing.Fun starter for any occasion:Get the spicy pork empanada appetizers. I ordered 4 dozen for 40 people and honestly should've doubled that because they were so good.Twists on classics:Hot option: get their signature vegetable lasagna. Seriously... even the carnivores of the family were impressed.Cold option: get the petit sandwich platter...Why? Unadventurous kids ate twists on turkey & roast beef and liked it. One even ate a mushroom sandwich and went back for more. That's magic.The classics:Sausage & Peppers... I can't say anything about them, except I never had a chance to taste them before they were devoured.Traditional Meat Lasagna... Hearty, well seasoned, and raved about by many.The Jumpin' Julia Salad...Yep, even a chopped up vegetable medley made an impression with it's delicious add-ins and perfect execution.The thing I personally liked least: the baked Macaroni & Cheese. Why? Personal preference... I think Mac & Cheese should always be a drippy, messy catastrophe of a dish. However, this was exactly what baked macaroni and cheese should be; perfectly cooked noodles, evenly cheesed, and simple flavoring for those picky eaters.Alright, you've reached the end. You now know why you're going to make this team your go-to caterers. Congrats!Time for you to review the menu options on The Healthy Cafe Catering Co.'s website again and begin the most difficult part... narrowing down which items you'd like to make your event delightful & memorable.And don't worry... if you get stuck on that part, just reach out in an email & have some passionate professionals give you their personalized suggestions. Excellent experience, start to finish. I worked with Marissa on all aspects of my order, including initial estimates of food types and quantities, final decisions, pricing and payment, and delivery. She was prompt, professional, and helpful. I wasn't sure how much or what food to order for our party and she helped developed a final number with platters and hors d'ouevres - right on target. There was just a small amount remaining. Most importantly, the food was delicious and the presentation as perfect - gorgeous platters! The chicken satay and meatballs were a huge hit, as were cheese platters and Italian platters. The price was around what I expected and well worth it for professional service, quality and quantity of food, delivery and set up. Amazing!

The food was phenomenal. Everyone raved over the short ribs. Family at times can be hard to please everyone but there are absolutely no complaints at all at our gathering. I’ve used them before and I definitely will be using them again. They are accommodating for everything that you may need.

Great catering company. We hired The Healthy Cafe Catering Co. for a corporate meeting. They were very responsive during the planning and coordinating phase. The food also arrived right on time and the staff member that was delivering was os helpful. When it came time for lunch, the staff raved about the food- especially the pulled pork sliders. I highly recommend!

House party with last minute rain changes and the staff were absolutely amazing helping to make some magic. Food was delicious, fresh and ALL GONE by the end of the night. Can't wait to order again and so happy I found them!

We just had Healthy Cafe Cater our wedding and I really could not be happier. They worked so well with the spaces we had at Providence Barn of Stone Arabia, and were super efficient and helpful! Also the food was beyond amazing! Even though we didn’t get to taste everything because of wedding photos, everything we had was so so good. All the guests also commented to us that it’s some of the best food they’ve had and everyone wanted more! Thank you for such an amazing experience and even better food!!Jack and Jodi

After seeing Betsy and her crew at work for a wedding that was hosted at Providence Barn of Stone Arabia in Fort Plain, NY, we engaged Healthy Cafe to cater our own daughter’s wedding. Not only did Healthy Cafe cater a “stationed” reception for 100 people, consisting of surf and turf, (imagine salmon and scallops and the most amazing beef loin and flank steak), three types of sliders with French fries, a farm to table station with salads, potatoes with toppings and more, a carving station, and, desserts (not too sweet, beautiful cupcakes!), with coffee service, all of which was nothing short of amazing, they also catered a welcome dinner the evening before! That was a plated affair served at table with three options of beef tips in port wine sauce; portobello mushroom ravioli; and a chicken option with tomato and artichokes.Healthy cafe also provided foods for two separate cocktail hours, one with a beautifully presented tabled hors d’oeuvres, and another with passed hors d’oeuvres.And if that isn’t enough, the crew at Healthy Cafe was professional, hard-working, CHEERFUL (with emphasis because we have all seen caterers who aren’t and don’t prefer it…), and downright kind. They both waited at table for a group of 45 people, as well as ran the stationed reception for 100 with equal skill. They had a bounce in their step even after two long hard days of serving others. They even focused on individuals with needs, like the couples with small children, and helped them get food for their little ones and served it to them directly.I own and operate Providence Barn of Stone Arabia- an elegant and upscale historic wedding venue and I work with many different caterers. Betsy and her entire group at Healthy Cafe are consistently wonderful. The name of the cafe says what the food is: healthy! This caterer’s farm to table approach to food service has made them very popular; if you are considering them, grab your date quickly!Other points to mention: the communication we received ahead of the event and the assistance in deciding food choices was stellar; the professional set up and Betsy’s talented organization of her food preparation and service areas was well-thought out; the price point is reasonable and all pricing was communicated clearly when making food choices; the way she handles her staff is favorable, since they all appeared to enjoy working; and her well- run business is a privilege to work with. And although I mentioned it before, I chose this company for my own daughter’s wedding, which should probably say it all.I highly recommend!!!

Healthy Cafe catered a graduation party for us. The food was excellent. Many guests before and after the party commented on the amazing food and I personally attest to the same. I requested their recommendation on amounts based on our venue and event and they provided more than enough food. The young staff I spoke with initially to ask questions and ultimately book the event were very patient, sweet and helpful. The unpleasantness occurred day of the event when things did not go as planned in terms of set-up. The delivery person was rude to the venue hostess, a friend of the family and her daughter who arrived early to help, and myself upon arrival. When I spoke with the owner after the event about making payment and providing feedback, she, too, was short, interrupted me, and abruptly told me not to say anything negative about the delivery person because "... I've known her for 11 years..." She barely allowed me to speak, so I didn't have chance to share any positives. I found both women highly unprofessional, combative, and despite the amazing food they will never be recommended by family, friends or myself.

We hired Healthy Cafe Catering for our post-wedding breakfast to feed 90 guests who were staying at our wedding hotel. The food was all customized to represent all of our favorite breakfast foods (custom frittatas, funfetti pancakes, etc.) In addition, due to the allergies of our guests, they made changes to some of their dishes or provided additional guest options to accommodate our guests dietary needs. The food was delicious and it was a wonderful way to cap off a perfect wedding weekend and send off our out of town guests.

We hired The Healthy Cafe Catering for our wedding. The food was delicious, we got so many compliments from satisfied guests! They had a wide variety of options to choose from, which made choosing them easy because I am the pickiest eater in the world. They had lots of vegetarian options to choose from, which we so appreciated! We had some guests with Celiacs (can't have gluten), Crohn's (can't have FODMAPS), diabetes (can't have sugars), and high blood pressure (can't have salt) and they were so accommodating to guests that needed special meals. We got to do a tasting a few months before the wedding, and they were so friendly to us 1-on-1! They even came to our venue to meet with us, our planner, and our venue owner a week before the wedding to make sure everything was all set and to map out where they needed to set up and arrive, which was so great! Having that extra in-person meeting really helped relieve some of the stress from the big day! They provided excellent service, and our guests loved the food. I highly recommend this vendor! P.S. To all of the LGBTQ+ couples, this is a LGBTQ+ friendly vendor! They were so friendly to my Wife and I. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. 5 Stars!
