Bennett did it again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I officially dub Bennett the Hair Scientistologist ✨. He seriously knows everything about color, texture, and the perfect blowout it’s amazing.
After getting a gorgeous layered cut with curtain bangs from Bennett, I thought, “What the heck, let’s see what he can do with highlights.” And wow, he nailed it. He did beautiful highlights with toner, and a root smudge, then finished with a flawless blowout.
The whole experience felt like an upscale NYC salon service. My hair looked so good, I half expected the paparazzi to be waiting outside.

I’m not sure if all the Ulta locations are like this or just the one at Colonie Center. But be careful when you do an order pickup here. I sent my husband to get my order pickup in the morning. And when I finally opened the packages, they were both used products. So we had to drive back in hopes to do a simple swap to you know unused products. Anyways, at first, the girl at the door told us, oh just go get the same products and go to the checkout counter and they can swap them out for you. We went grabbed the products. However, when we got to the counter, and explained the situation. We just picked these up, they were both used products, can we swap them out. And the girl said oh you can’t do a return yet because you just picked it up so the charge is still pending on your card. You can come back tomorrow and do a return. First of all, I wasn’t trying to do a return. I was simply trying to get the products I paid for in unopened, unused condition. I asked if they would just swap them since they gave me bad products to begin with, and she said she had to get a manager. Anyways, the manager was able to show her how to do a manual return for the same day pickup order. I just feel like this entire process could have been avoided if they just added a quality control step in their pickup order process.

Review for Bennett ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’ve had a hard time finding someone to do Curtain because they can get tricky.
When I brought them up, I could tell immediately Bennett knew exactly what to do. He explained my hair texture, how the cut I wanted would be affected, and even how my curls would look and feel after. He was thorough, methodical, and clearly knew his craft.
Side note, I gotten there early and watched him pull off a complicated color correction. And he nailed that, too. So this being my first time at ULTA Salon I was pleasantly surprised
I was so amazed at gorgeous layered cut, flawless curtain bangs, and a blowout so perfect it looked straight out of a magazine. He even took the time to show me the right way to blow out my bangs so I could recreate the look at home. ✨
Bennett exceeded my expectations. And I scheduled blonde highlights with him after seeing some of his other work and his thorough consultation. I will post updated review after the highlights. 💕

Best place in the Capitol Region. The workers are super awesome. The salon has awesome staff, i haven't got a person I don't like in my years going to Colonie Center.

I had a deep conditioning steam head massage by Syleena R & it was AMAZING! I can’t wait to get my next one!!!! ULTA-get this girl a proper reclining chair & this may be the most booked service. It’s all the rage in the big cities.

I had an appointment to have my hair curled and makeup done at 12:30. Unfortunately, my stylist was running a little behind (not to mention the store was busy), but the receptionist was able to find me a stylist who could do my hair while my original stylist finished up.
Emily, the original stylist, did my makeup and was the sweetest person throughout the process! Asked me for my opinions throughout, gave me options to change anything, and was overall fantastic for doing makeup.
The manager who oversees scheduling and staffing should be ashamed of themselves. These stylists seemed very stressed out with taking care of the customers coming in along with the event going on outside.

I mean they're not Sephora at Sephora you can smell any of the fragrances they have. you can as well here but you got to ask an employee to take out the fragrance and spray it on the paper. I mean that's just ridiculous so if you want to smell every fragrance you got to ask them to take it out and spray it. that has to be an inconvenience for them as well. Plus the environment and atmosphere is better at Sephora I mean they got the fragrances you would want probably but you can't smell a different one if you wanted to unless you got permission and all that other stuff
