“As much as I would like to, in good consciousness, I can't gatekeep this place. While, yes, the space is small, they cram an impressive assortment of product on their shelves. I had the privilege of being assisted by the owner of the shop who was unbelievably helpful in finding what I needed - a mix of liquor for my engagement party. I have not a single clue about flavor profiles of Champaign, I just needed something that was delicious and price effective. The owner made his recommendation, and I walked away with a bottle to sample at home. The bottle ended up being absolutely delicious, so I returned the next week for a few cases. Main Wines also has an extensive Whiskey and Wine selection - again, small shelves, but they seem to pack the hits here as well as some allocated bottles. I bought some whiskies and vodka along with my cases for those who imbibe, and was all set for my party (I even received complements on my selection...spoiler alert, I didn't pick them, the owner did). I hope to see Main Wines grow over the next few years, and I hope all the apartments they're throwing up around town will help with that effort. I'll certainly be back for my future needs!”

“Very helpful staff with wine selection. The guy knew his stuff from entry level to high end wine not on the shelf. Very helpful in directing to wine matches for very specific desires in various price points and recommended less expensive than I was prepared to spend. The store could only get better by carrying some more Oregon Pinot Noirs and Chard’s. Like Fullerton, Archery Summit, White Rose, Four Graces, Domaine Serene and Purple Hands. Missing a few Walla Walla greats too like Mark Ryan, Rotie Cellars and the Walls.”
