This site was very easy to move around ever for someone technically challenged. I was able to set up a search alert for what I was looking for and from where. They also gave suggestions and tips to help. If my search choices good, what was a perfect fit or what could be a wrong match. I found the perfect pet in a matter of days. I had filled out a application in advance and my references were already checked. So when my perfect pet showed up it was held for me and put in my hands within 48 hrs! We love our little Hudson!!

Beware! This third party site allows anyone to advertise. Yes, Scammers, Breeders, FAKE Rescues and the like. They DO NOT verify any information on the rescues that they allow to advertise, and will not remove users once presented with PROOF that the 'RESCUE' is NOT legitimate or has VIOLATED their own Adopt-a-Pet terms of use. They will not lift a finger to prevent animal cruelty and financial fraud when presented with evidence of the such and multiple complaints, and will allow these scammers to continue on SELLING sick animals that in some cases end up dying in the first few weeks. These scammers get away with swindling thousands of dollars from people, infecting and killing animals, not abiding by adoption contracts, and doing it over and over again. And when notified with detailed proof of the exact terms of use the fake 'RESCUE' or scammer is violating, Adopt-a-Pet does absolutely NOTHING. Do not use this site, it is unreliable and supports scammers and people who participate in animal cruelty and fraud. Their advertisers will be alerted, and hopefully will sponsor services with more integrity than this one.

Accepted someone's STOLEN dog and released it to a "rescue" that same day that then in turn, brought it to a Canadian shelter to be adopted out. Even after being given definitive proof the dog belonged to someone, they refuse to give the owners any information.
