This review is solely for my postal woman, who has helped make sure my mail gets delivered to the right postal box, after I've moved a few times. She also helped me with getting keys to my mailbox. I appreciate her and all her help!

I had a package mailed out of this office 2 weeks ago. They told us we could only issue up $100, which we were told later by usps customer service that this is not true. That we could have done priority mail, or priority express and insure for more. The items in the package are valuable and they are doing nothing to help. There has been no change in the status for a week. I tried calling the actual Alden office to speak to a manager about this issue and he would even talk to me, he got on the phone and asked me why I couldn't speak to the person that picked up. I called back, and he said good luck 3 times yelling in my ear and hung up.
Jim should not have a manger job in any business let a lone in the postal office.
I can't believe this is who is handling our mail.

Absolutely most ridiculous hours especially around the holidays. Closes at 4:30 when most people work until at least then-makes a lot of sense

Twice I was unable to return an item to a seller with the provided return label. I had to go to UPS and pay to have the return label printed because the employee at the Alden office insists on the return label having a QRS code on it. Neither company provides this. I left the first package at UPS to be picked up by USPS, which meant that I didn't get a tracking number. I also had to pay to have the label printed. Today, my husband attempted to return a package, and once again, he was refused. So now, I have to return the package from UPS without a tracking number. Needless to say, I am livid regarding this unnecessary inconvenience. How does the post office manage to deliver other mail without QRS codes? I wasn't born yesterday and whoever is rejecting our packages needs to be set straight.

I am so thankful to have this post office and their crew in our town. Everyone is so accommodating, welcoming and efficient. They always give fantastic advice on the best way to send something. I can’t say enough things about them, especially Tim. Tim goes above and beyond the call of duty and always has a warm smile and knows his patrons. Thank you USPS for making my holiday shipping a breeze!

Van driver decided they were no going to deliver my Amazon Prime package on time so they put "unable to access delivery location" as the EXCUSE! There is no gate or chains across my driveway, Attempted delivery was allegedly 10:11 AM, I was outside since 9AM waiting for the delivery and didn't even see or hear the mail van drive by. This post office location is the worst!! When I need something at the post office, I avoid Alden's branch like the plague.

Yes, the hours are very inconvenient, but every post office has that issue. The "sorry we missed you" slips are a bit annoying, but I understand the purpose. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and made polite conversation, I'm not much of a talker, but I saw that he was making an effort and I respect that. Good service, but bad hours of service.

I had a package being delivered the next day but the tracking number said handed to post office so I called them to try and pick it up myself a day early. They looked up my tracking numbers and had more detail in their system and apparently it was at another office. They gave me the location and I was able to pick up that day and it saved me a day waiting to sign for a package. Great help.
