Do not, repeat DO NOT, do business with Amerigas. Customer service? Forget about it. Local shops are all closed and 800 number gets you nowhere. Wait 20 minutes on hold and then you get someone who you can't understand and can't help.I know I'll get an automatic response to this review. I won't bother reading it.

Every experience with amerigas has been poor. I’ve been lied to multiple times, told I cannot speak to a manager, told I was on a payment plan and when I didn’t see payments pulled they told me that I had never signed up for it then tried to charge me a late fee. Never in my life have I ever had to fight a company to take my money. When I cancelled the auto payment and auto fill I tried to get the tank down to 20 percent so I could have them come pick it up they refilled again basically trying to choke hold me. It’s been 2 weeks since they were supposed to come take the tank. I haven’t seen anyone yet. I doubt this will be posted but… To anyone who might read this review, please for your own sanity, please pick a different company. I was stuck with them because they were the only company to have tanks during covid and I still haven’t been able to get away yet.

You cannot get a person to talk to. Web page is useless and phone number all you get is a recording. Customer support has hone to hell in the last 20 years

signed up for an account on November 3rd 2003 according to my online account they did an inspection of my gas lines to make sure our tank can be installed. I have not seen anyone I have not heard from anyone I'd left several messages to the support line. Now we're going into December I still have no propane no heat. There are several complaints with your customer service department I don't understand why it's inadequate. This issue needs to be resolved otherwise I need to cancel my contract with you so I can move forward and keep my family warm. The tank still needs to be installed I still need propane please help in the situation as soon as possible. According to your online chat customer service they told me your truck broke down on 11/14 so they couldn't complete the service call. But what I don't understand is why nobody contacted us let us know this and left us in limbo?

We have been w/ this company for over 20 years collectively, w/ 3 separate addresses. The local office was always a dream to do business with. The last 3 years, I now have to deal w/ a call center overseas somewhere. The customer service has been horrible. Every year is a nightmare of account issues, that take no less than days of repeated lengthy phone calls to try to fix it. Only for the very same issues to happen again and again.

Worst company ever.Ordered propane when I was out after waiting a week I called to find out delivery date they stated that day.I was at work so they delivered and locked my tank out now I have to wait 10 more days for them to unlock it.Well you just lost a customer of 15 years!!!!

I just had a terrible encounter with an agent from this company. There is absolutely no way to contact anyone in my local service area, and when I tried to order propane I was told that I had to tell them how much was in the tank. How would I know that? The agent was in some call center somewhere where the phone call was being constantly interrupted by clapping and shouting in a room and finally the agent cut out altogether. I have no way of ordering propane because I can’t speak to a live person. I am considering leaving this company. I’ve been using them for years. But this is ridiculous. I should be able to talk to someone in my local service area!!!

Do not recommend!! Customer service is annoying and outsourced. On multiple occasions they could not find details on amount we were owed, however, when we owe, you better believe their computers are updated just fine. Hate this company.

I had to call when our tank was nearly empty. I was disappointed that I couldn't talk to a live person. But the delivery was made as promised 6 days later.

Been with them 25 year's they switched to all corporate. Customer service argues with you and when asked for supervisor they hang up on you! Made payment on Wednesday Friday get a call from collection agency!! Never had a problem until last 2 years.
