“I’ve been a resident in Carpenter Village since 2006 and happy with the choice I made almost 20 years ago.
Rental office managers, Janay and Jan, always greet you with a broad smile and are always attentive if any concerns arise to find a quick and best solution to satisfy their tenants.
What I love about this complex is that is far enough from busy downtown to have a rural sense of tranquility and peace, and yet close enough to any shops and access to highways.
I also truly enjoy the great green spaces this complex has with my pets. The grounds maintenance crew work hard and take pride on keeping it clean and manicured for the residents.
They are very friendly and ready to offer help, especially on the snowy winter days.
It has been nice to watch throughout the years I’ve been here, all the improvements done on different buildings to provide us tenants not only with better living comfort but also a place your family and friends enjoy coming for its nice grounds for a great walk and friendliness of neighbors and staff.
Everything is well kept, and when needed, appliances are upgraded. Maintenance is not only on the grounds as mentioned before but also with Mandy keeping the cleanliness of the buildings and her friendliness to tenants and our pets.
I’ve had to use maintenance only once since I started living here and the response to attend to my issue was quick and with a very friendly interaction. Nate and Chris are thorough on their work and care very much that the issue at hand is fixed and tenant is satisfied.
I’ve been recommending this complex to friends for its staff friendliness, amenities offered and convenient proximity to everything even when it seems to be located away from any downtown city in Albany.”

“This is a new 55 and older senior apartment complex in Downtown Schenectady. The property is owned and operated by Norstar Development and they have taken and old run down YMCA and rejuvenated it into a modern quality apartment complex for senior citizens. The building is just getting it's first tenants and is still in process of remodeling but so far the work is excellent and the pride is right since this is Fair Housing eligible.”

“I've moved into the Edison Apartments in Schenectady Jan 2018 due to my job. I was brand new to the Upstate, NY area and did not know a soul. I used the app Zillow and came across a Studio posting at the Edison Apartments sister property.

The sister property immediately connected me to the Edison property and I received a phone call right away. One of the property mangers Jill Ferrara has been EXCELLENT help with me from day one!

Since I was moving from a different state over 3 & 1/2 hours away, coming to view the apartment was extremely tough between Jill and I's schedule. However she and I made it work and thanks to today's technology I was able to view the apartment though FaceTime. This was a first for the both of us and we made it work.

The studio I was interested in needed a lot of renovations and I was willing to wait. The Unit was truly worth the wait. Hardwood floors, ceiling fan, multiple windows which made for great natural lighting, great size tube, 2 closets (a women's dream come true!) and overall a great space for a single individual. As a result Jill and her team made sure my residence at the apartment was nothing short of comfortable, safe, and clean!

As of August 2019 my job required me to move again, this time the notice was very short and it didn't give me much time to prep. Anyone who knows and travels for work understands when assigned a different territory you must go. Jill worked with me very well to make the transition for both of us moved smoothly. Communication was very key!

As a tenant who not only was breaking their lease but also gave very short notice, Jill maintained a very high level of professionalism with me. She could of easily of gotten frustrated, but understood my work profession and things such as my situation does happen.

Overall, Jill is one of a kind. In the beginning of getting to know each other we discovered we had the same birthday. Instantly a warming and good vibe was given off! I highly recommend anyone local or far to do business with the Edison Apartments Property Mangers, especially Jill!
