Unfortunately the car I got started shaking when it go over 60mph, I m pretty sure one of the tire has problem since the rest 3 tires are 32 psi and 1 tire is 20 psi. When I got there, they are spend time to wash the exterior of the car which makes no sense considering it’s raining and snowing outside. They interiors is kinda dirty from my standard, there are hairs on the floor which means they didn’t vacuum at all.

My flight leaves at 9am. Had to be at the airport at least an hour earlier. They DO NOT have a drop box. Hoping I don’t miss my flight. Offered to drive to a nearby location and drop off the car and they want to charge a $300 fee. Customer service was rude as hell and told me they have business hours. I have traveled all over the world and have dropped off vehicles in the middle of the night with no problems. I will NEVER again used them.

I picked up the vehicle I rented from Avis it was dirty in the inside and on the outside, also the check engine light was on. When I was able to pull over I called customer service and was told I was able to pick up another vehicle from any Avis locations. The location I rented from had closed and the next location closest to me had closed by this time as well. I had to take a 45 minute drive to the Buffalo airport to exchange the vehicle. That vehicle wasn’t in the best mechanical condition from the sounds of it but I kept it because I was already inconvenienced enough. When I went to return the vehicle to the location I picked it up from I was told I would be charged a one way fee because I brought the vehicle to the airport wrong location. I was never told where exactly to bring the vehicle to. I called customer service they told me that I would have to let the location charge me then they would reimburse the money. I planned on renting another vehicle but I could not due to the charges I received. I would have to wait another 48 hours to be reimbursed. The male customer service representative at the Avis location in the Buffalo airport was not polite at all he would not listen to what I had to say he told me the first car I picked was irrelevant and didn’t matter. There was no communication between the corporate office and Avis to resolve the issue.

Avis has earned my trust as the Best Rental company to use at anytime. I am from Buffalo, NY. My brother had a stroke in 2021. I rented a car from Enterprise. Customer service said that I was all set in Greenville, NC. When I arrived at the airport Enterprise said that they couldn't rent to me!!! I waited for hours for a Representative from Enterprise to contact me, it never happened. My brother-in-law drove me to Avis, they were so courtesy and kind. They had me in a rental in minutes, that freed me up so all my energy could be directed at seeing my brother. Avis was a LIFE SAVER. NEVER WILL FORGET THEM AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!AAA RATING WITH ME. My experience at Avis in Amherst, NY was quick, friendly, and felt like family. Do yourself a favor and drop by to pickup your next rental, you will not be disappointed!!!?

the initial rental agent was courteous and went over the vehicles operation and previous damaged. The checkin agent seemed over whelmed and did have any answers to my questions. will not rent again too many problems with rental vehicles

Avis customer service is garbage! Upper management is rude and will pass the buck. Rental was garbage and when tried swapping out none of the locations could accommodate! I will NEVER RENT FROM AVIS AGAIN!!!!!

I have to say that this location is literally one of the most disorganized I have ever seen. Not only is it in a teeny tiny shared parking lot with an auto collision company, but the staff outside are unaware of how to conduct traffic in and out of its one driveway. There were literally people hanging out in the street waiting for a person coming out to move so they can go in.Meanwhile, everyone just sat there blowing the horn at each other while the staff for Avis looked at them and shook their heads.If that wasn’t so bad, here’s the real scoop…My elderly mother needed to rent a car leaving from my home in New York City to come one way back to Buffalo. We decided to go with Avis after a very bad experience with budget rental car just to have a similar experience with Avis.We had the car for one day and due to her fatigue We extended it out two more days by calling the location direct on Sheridan.The lady said she extended it for us and that was that. When we returned the car two days later, the bill was almost 30% more than it should be, and we demanded to know why. The rude desk attendant who is very flippant and dismissive told us that it’s not her that did it and we need to speak to location that we booked the car from.We explained to her that we called her and extended it over the phone and that they were the last one to touch the account.They charged us for all sorts of erroneous items, and I intend to dispute every bit of it!Elderly people shouldn’t be taking advantage of this way, or spoken to a flippant manner. Not only was she dismissive of our concerns, but she literally looked right past us when she was done talking, and started addressing the person behind us, and looking up his account before we even had a chance to respond to what she said!Then to top it off, she allowed the customer to go outside to get his own mileage because they were so disorganized. He got tired of waiting for someone to do so.Needless to say, I will not be renting with this company, nor will I let my mother rent from this company again. I would appreciate if someone takes care of these erroneous charges, and I believe an apology is in order. What a horrible location!

Capture shots of your car's exterior, including the windshield and windows, from various angles. Additionally, keep all receipts and paperwork related to your interaction with the agency. These documents can serve as vital evidence in case any discrepancies arise.My unfortunate encounter began when I received a surprise charge of over $668 on my credit card two months later . The agency had claimed that I had caused glass damages to the vehicle during my rental period. I knew for a fact that I had returned the car in the same condition because we took pictures with family . When I received a letter i called and was told my credit card charges would be completely refunded through avis but they haven’t done so now I’m going through a credit dispute after 3 months and its truly disappointing to pay for something you didn’t do .

I reserved a 7 passenger truck Tahoe or better. When I arrive at Avis to pick it up, the agent tells me all we have left is a minivan and a 5 passenger truck! Had I wanted either of the two I would have reserved them. Then to make matters worse the car reeked of weed. All the while the kids who I drove to the amusement park kept complaining that it stinks in here. So no! I was definitely not satisfied.

Very frustrating customer service experience and made me verify information 82 different ways just to extend my rental for another week. Over priced also, way too much money to rent a car and they offer no discounts or anything.
