Daemen College is HORRIBLE! Do NOT go here! I read some reviews on Daemen (on other sites) prior to accepting and thought that some of these people just didn't have what it takes to succeed in college. Boy was I wrong. Many of the instructors are so arrogant you can literally tell that they don't care if their students pass or fail. Also many of the buildings are filthy. I personally have witnessed mice and rats running not only around the dumpsters but also in some of the buildings, even around the food areas. I've mentioned it to numerous maintenance employees and they just say that they are aware of the problem. And a number of them can barely speak English. The parking is terrible, especially during the day when most of the classes are held. Another serious problem is the lack of social activities. You pretty much have to leave campus for things to do because there's barely anything ever going on at this place. I am a PT student and am in the process of transferring to another school for the Fall 2018 semester......I can't deal with another semester here at this awful school. Save your hard-earned money and choose a school that actually cares and wants you to succeed....definitely NOT HERE!!!

This review is based on the meet and greet I went to in December in Brooklyn. 1) When the meet and greet was advertised, I thought it was a job fair where one get an internship. Instead, it was to sell a program on being a LBA. Okay, but I thought it was going to be a well rounded fair. 2) During this meet and greet, I thought it was strange that they didn't mention tuition. You have a certificate program, yet you don't mention tuition of the program. 3) After going to this meet and greet, I thought the school wasn't one that I would pick because financial aid, tuition, etc was never mentioned. No mention of graduate assistantships. Nothing. 4) I will probably look at this certificate program elsewhere to compare, but I thought it was a little misleading to advertise internships yet only talk about this program.

They're prices are SUPER inflated and they will rip you off any chance they get on any item. DO NOT SHOP HERE FOR ANYTHING UNLESS THERE ARE NO OTHER OPTIONS.

My input for Daemen College is from the perspective of a physician who has hired 5 physician assistants who have graduated from this college. It has an excellent program for physician assistants that can matriculate directly from high school or transfer to this school after obtaining a year degree from other colleges or after a bachelor's or Master's degree from other institutions. Students who graduate from Daemen's PA program have a very high pass rate for the board examination (exceeding 97%) and almost all are hired immediately in the Buffalo Niagara area or elsewhere. Clinically, graduating PA's are excellent and immediately able to evaluate and treat patients in clinical practice. Daemen is also great because it provides tuition assistance to almost all of their students in this program to the tune of approximately 11,000 dollars a year. Daemen has been recognized locally, regionally as a top tier institution in training individuals in healthcare professional degrees including physical therapy, nursing, athletic trainers and physical therapy. These programs are highly competitive to get into which makes matriculation quite coveted. Disclaimer: In addition to hiring my physician assistants from Daemen College, I am also on the Board of Trustees of Daemen College. I would be more than happy to talk to anyone who is considering in pursuing a health sciences degree from Daemen College.

Daemen College is a small 3,000ish person school with about a 75% female student population so this is a desperate calling for men. The most prominent majors are BSMS in physician assistant and doctorate of physical therapy studies. There is a wide variety of other majors including education, art, athletic training, psychology, nursing, social work, political science, etc. The campus has a mixture of modern high technology like the new library and visual and performing arts center, and a 70's feel like classrooms in DS and cyber cafe in the wick center. The dining hall has been newly remodeled and is a great place for students to dine. They even have a stone pizza oven. The campus seems to be making an effort to improve the aesthetics of the grounds inside and out. They just planted 100+ tress on the front lawn. Daemen is liberal arts school highly focused on academics. Since the campus is small students complain about a lack of activities to do.
