“They say first impressions are everything. South Shore Animal Hospital has gained my trust. I am a new dog owner with a currently 6 month old Black Lab Mix named Luke. I had been looking to get established with a Vet and had been doing some research. But when Luke had some issues that needed attention I started frantically calling places to be met with a lot of rudeness and no availability. I found South Shore and booked an appointment online for the soonest available which was 3 days later. I called up and explained the situation and they were happy to squeeze me in the same day on a Saturday. Now I can’t say if I got lucky or if they did me a favor but I appreciated them getting in a new customer same day on a Saturday. The Staff were kind and were patient with Luke as he is still a puppy and made him feel comfortable at his first visit. Their pricing seems reasonable although I did not need anything major but the exam fee seemed okay. They answered all my questions as a new dog owner would have. I’m glad I found them and will consider bringing in our cat Pumpkin in as well as needed. Thank you South Shore Animal Hospital. We will see you again”
“I decided to try this Vet it is close to home and was highly recommended. I was surprised I was able to get a appt. within 24 hours. I have to say this Vet office was spotless, so clean and updated. The staff was very nice and welcoming. We met with Dr. Haley Knopf.. She explained the problem Daisy was having gave her a shot and some meds to put on her paw. We had a follow up appt. and all went well. Our furry friends are like our children and we only want the best for them. I highly recommend Commack Vet. Center on Motor Parkway in Commack.
Had another visit to the Vet and once again very happy with the care. Daisy had a ear infection and she is a very good girl well behaved and they were able to clean her ears and apply a solution. The staff is so good and they take the time to talk to your pet. Can't say enough about this Vet.”

“I have used VMCLI on multiple occasions. My dog Merri has problems with his neck and neurological. They have been nothing be great with my animals and helping us get them back on track. My other dog Pippin had eye problems and their specialist there was also great. I would take my dogs there for anything that need special attention.”
“We have been taking our cat to Plainview Animal Hospital for years. We love the staff and board our cat frequently there. Unlike many vets, they do medical boarding, which we need since our cat gets insulin shots twice daily. We have tried other vets before in the tri state area (we've lived in NYC for years). However, we continuously make the trip to Plainview Animal Hospital for their level of care and having the options we need for our pet.”

She is outstanding and always takes the time to explain everything clearly. She has worked wonders with my more aggressive cat, and now he’s much more relaxed during visits. Highly recommend!”
“Dr Chen was excellent with my Rottweiler. We met outside which was perfect as my dog can be a little difficult to handle around other dogs and I was concerned about an infection. “I have been using Bellmore Vet for just about 11 years. This is the best Vet service I have ever had. Dr. Kevin and his team are excellent. I like the fact that he is not an alarmist and always has answers as to how to approach an issue I may be having with my Dog. Nice girls at the front desk and good tech assistants. Parking in the front in limited but there’s a public lot right in the back.”
“Dr Tanaka is the best! The insurance does cover a decent amount well visits blood work. Meds are always high in every vet office. They treat Kilo so sweetly. When Petco left shampoo on him it caused chemical burns. They were so amazing. I was so grateful that they calmed him as I was a mess. Definately reco them”
“For the most part I’ve had a good experience with this animal hospital. Dr. Howard is great but I have noticed that some front desk staff and techs are not as friendly. I had one tech stereotype my Bully because he was clearly not comfortable working with a large dog. My boy has been going to the hospital for two years incident free but he wanted to muzzle my dog and also put him on medication which he doesn’t need. I put a stop to that. My dog has sensitive front paws so shots have to be given in the back. Thankfully another tech, Adriana knows my dog and was like we do not have to do all that for him. Overall, it’s a good place for animals and very clean with ample parking. I trust the level of care here.”
“I have a very reactive Rat/Chi that the staff at Southgate handle wonderfully. The techs and Dr Muro treat him incredibly well despite him being a very difficult at times. I usually only have to wait a few minutes for my appointment but I don't mind because the care is fantastic. A big thank you to the staff and Dr Mauro!”
