Interesting Marina. Sailboats are welcome and docked on a island in the Amityville River just a shout out from the Marina. Have to row there dinghy to get to your boat. It's challenging and charming at the same time.

The annual Great South Bay island clean up is a GREAT local event. The boaters of Amityville all get together and do the right thing of cleaning up sea debris. All are welcome and experienced peoplw are all pitching in for the cause. BBQ, Raffle and fun times. Great family event
