I live in Texas, and I stumbled upon this incredible record store three years ago while on a quest to own all the Taylor Swift albums, and it has been an unforgettable experience ever since. From the very first order, which arrived perfectly packaged and promptly, I was impressed. When I discovered that the store is based in Poughkeepsie, NY, it rendered me silent – my late Grandma was born and raised there, making my connection to this store feel deeply personal and special.Over the years, I have ordered several items, and each one has arrived with the same care and attention to detail. It’s clear that this store truly values its customers and takes pride in their work. Despite never having spoken to them directly, I feel a personal relationship with this store, thanks to their consistent excellence and the nostalgic connection to my Grandma's hometown.To anyone looking for a reliable, heartfelt, and professional record store, look no further. This is the place to go if you're looking for any records or cds. Darkside has a fantastic collection, and a great variety of audio equipment. Any time I've been searching for an album, they happen to have it. While there are some cheaper places in the area, nothing beats the scale of this store

darkside was recommended to me by a friend after i was unable to find a record store day exclusive in my area. i was on the website right as it was released and the checkout process was very easy.my package was shipped quickly (especially considering how busy they were with RSD) and was packaged extremely well. they were NOT messing around when it came to packaging it.i definitely recommend them and will purchase from them in the future!thank you darkside! ?

Ordered an older used record from here after receiving a broken one from poshmark and was so thrilled to find our record packaged incredibly well! It also came in basically perfect condition and was super reasonably priced! I can’t recommend buying from here more :)

I live on the opposite side of the country from this record store but they're still my very favorite one. Not only is Darkside Records the best name, but every vinyl I order online comes so well packaged, so fast, and in perfect condition. I love them. If multiple record stores have a record I'm looking for and Darkside is one of them, I choose Darkside every time.

When you think of a place to buy recorded music, pristine, antiseptic does not come to mind. This store is a throwback to the independents in NYC. A bit grungy, eclectic, new mixed with used, vinyl, CDs, tapes, video, headshop vibe.Give it a try. Record Store Day, long line, but organized, and lots of advertised titles on hand. Mail order works well too.

They packed the vinyl very securely, and were quick to ship the item. They included a friendship bracelet and a magnet to make it feel more personal. 10/10 recommendation, and will definitely order from them again!
