Every day I order delivery and the truth is that the salty one is not good at all. Today I asked the guy who answered me on the phone to change the salad for whatever it was, even if it was a Maduro, and he was very kind and told me that he was going to ask.I heard the entire conversation where someone told him no, he repeated it again so please be a mature man and the answer was no.It seems terrible to me that a restaurant would answer no! Instead of giving their customers options. As a tip, if you can't change the salad for something else, then you should improve it because it's very bad, it's not just throwing away tomato, cucumber and acidic onion.I will never recommend this place again.

Ahhhh this place is sooo good!!!! Today must’ve been my 6-7th time being here. We live in LI now but still come back, and today it was in route back from the poconos heading to our home. We were craving a good Spanish meal; Acento is Colombian. It’s mine and my partner’s favorite Latin place in Astoria, and being Latin ourselves and considering there’s not many places in Astoria area that are of our cuisine (he’s Ecuadorian and I’m PR), this speaks volumes! Haha. I tried to remind myself to capture photos, but we were so hungry and eager to eat, that I ended up taking photos midway through eating! lol.Our favorite treat is the Arepa Cachapa, which is sort of like a sweet corn patty with cheese inside, omg amazing! We had it as our appetizer.Their white rice is so perfect - it’s grainy while still being soft and fluffy, just like I like it.The red beans one of the best fusion of flavors I’ve had and let me tell you that we have rice and beans about 2-3 times per week (like I said we’re Latin and it’s a staple in our household and culture overall).I had the Entraña steak today with yuca fries - steak was so juicy like I like it and yuca fries were perfectly crispy. The chimichurri sauce that comes with it, yummm!Partner had the traditional Bandeja Paisa, which he tends to get at every Colombian spot we go to and he enjoyed every part of the meal (it’s a combo meal, a must try). We all tried each other’s food. My kids shared with us and they even loved it (that says a lot for 4-yr olds who can sometimes can be picky with food! lol), and we also had food left over to bring back home.Great portion sizes, very generous.Atmosphere is so chill, lovely with a mix of different music playing in the background. My kids and I were all grooving to the music haha.We didn’t order any drinks today, but from what we remember, they’re also good and tasty!A must visit if you’re in the area and looking for a guaranteed delicious meal, no underwhelm, and want a bite of our cultural foods that always hit the tummy right!Kid-friendliness: Welcoming to kids. I’ve eaten there several times with them

First time in this place, the food was delicious, a wide variety of selections, they have the most requested Latin dishes. This place is definitely going to become my favorite restaurant because there I can please my entire family's tastes.Parking: Since it is located in a commercial area, it is a little difficult to find parking, but it is worth taking the time to look for it.

Opened in 2019 and inspired by the owners’ grandmothers, this establishment located on Ditmars Blvd in Astoria is dedicated to serving its customers homestyle cooking. Acento Latin Kitchen and Bar caters to cuisine from a variety of Latin cultures, including Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Ecuador, and Mexico, but with a very strong Colombian cuisine. My cousin and I came for dinner tonight on a weeknight as first timers. Upon arrival, the interior was nicely decorated with a fusion of Latin souvenirs and family photos, while Spanish music was playing in the background. We were greeted by the staff. For starters, we decided to split the chicken empanadas. For our main entree, we have decided on Ropa Vieja (Cuban-style shredded beef served with yellow rice, sweet plantains, and black beans) and Mini Bandeja Paisa (a mini-traditional country platter with beef, rice, beans, pork skin, sweet plantains, eggs, corn cake, and avocado). The food was totally delicious and authentic, and the taste was right on point! The pricing was comparable to the area. We had an excellent time, and we can recommend this place.
