Just about everything here is locked up and staff isn't quick to help you out so unless you want to be waiting 15 min for some toothpaste, go somewhere else.

This local Rite Aid has become a sad place. They locked up a lot of stuff, but they don't have enough people working there so it is a pain to stand and wait for assistance just to buy dental floss. I used to go to this store several times a week, but now I go there only once in a while. When they still had the 20% discount for Plenti gold members, combined with their Load2Card coupons, I got a lot of good deals. But when they eliminated the 20%, it became more economic to order online. (They have a new bonus cash system, but it's harder to evaluate the savings.) At this point, when I buy from Rite Aid, usually it's through their online site. With all the locked cases, it would be too much time and trouble to pick up multiple items, and the store has a weirdly hostile vibe like they think everyone is there to steal from them. There are a lot of things I used to buy from Rite Aid. I'd go shopping with the cart on Sundays when the new sale circular came out, but now I buy those things by the case from Walmart or Amazon. If it's a choice of whether to buy something like a cleaning product from Rite Aid or the Key Food across the street, I'll go to the Key Food where the environment is welcoming to shoppers and check-out is quick.

Absolutely do not go to this RiteAid. Most everything is behind lock and key and they always are shorthanded, so even if you wanted to get something out of the degrading locked cages, you can't.Any other drug store in the area is better and doesn't force you to jump through hoops to buy toothpaste.

I live around this place and pick up my medications from this pharmacy. It's crazy busy during the rush hours. I understand they are understaffs so I decided to visit them at different time like the morning or later evening. I also received all my Covid vaccines here the pharmacists and staffs were really efficient and attentive. Than you for everything you have done!

UPDATE: not long after walking out empty handed at Rite Aid, I came across a discount dollar store along Steinway street. I purchased a travel kit that included a brush guard and a travel sized tube of toothpaste for a little over $2. Not bad when considering what prices I observed at Rite Aid.

So as expected, someone from Rite Aid gave a generic comment to call them. Who wants to spend more time on the phone discussing the situation? It's very clear from my experience at the store over several years and all the new reviews dating back years that it is continuously the same situation. The responses are the same.

I literally get anxiety about picking up my prescriptions from this pharmacy. I've never been inside such a dysfunctional store. To echo what so many have said...you'll wait in line 30-45 mins for a prescription. Rite Aid - instead of replying with a generic response, how about you evaluate the staffing at your store. I'm sure it would be eye opening...

Don't order shipped to store. My order was apparently given (or sold) to some rando. Store kept no records of incoming or outgoing orders, had no set place to store orders and so far, has only offered half of my money back. Total chaos and still no refund 3 weeks later.

I've taken flights to Europe that took less time than picking up a prescription here. Do not come here during rush hour. It's a 30-45 minute commitment.

The pharmacy department needs some training in handling costumers. I called to ask if my prescription is ready . The person who answered the call took my name and birthday. She told me to wait while she checks . After putting me on hold for 15 minutes someone answered the phone and asked me for my date of birth and what do I need, I asked what happened to the person that I was talking to, she tells me that the person who answered the phone on is now on the register. So now who's helping me in getting my prescription.?? She just brushed me off and asked for my name and date of birth again. Its plainly rude and upsetting when there is no regards to the costumer.

From the moment I walked in I was followed by security and staff. When I got on the line the security officer went to his computer to look at the cameras to see if I stole something. This was a very disturbing experience. All I wanted was to purchase soap and tissue. You should never judge someone because you never know who they truly are. Do better!

This place doesn't have anything useful. I had an emergency where I need medicine for an allergy and they don't have anything. something as easy to solve in short time as an allergy, that with some pills is going to be ok and they don't have it.

They say they're open til 12AM but consistently close 10-15 minutes early. It's the same guy every night making sure people can't come in when it says the store is still open. Rude as well.

Terrible pharmacy, the worst I've ever had to use in New York. There's one person working the cash register while a long line of people are waiting in line to pick up their medication. The other pharmacy employees are too busy to come and operate the other cash register because they're doing something else like giving flu shots. I always thought the primary function of a pharmacy was to fill prescriptions. This isn't a one time experience. It's almost always the same. I dread going here and only do so because I moved nearby recently. I've lived in a socialist country and never experienced such overt scorn for the customer.
