11/15 update. Sorry isnt good enough. Keeping this one short because I am not in it for fame, but in it for justice. The pomegranites bae got were tasting funny. Very sour.
We continued to eat because we couldnt really put our finger on what was wrong. I havent had a pomegranite in many years.
The taste was too funky so we said, leta check the date. 3 days expired. Brought it back, was told sorry and to check for a unexpired one. Well, they all were expired. I really dont think they cared. We got our money back. 5 bucks and train. I am lowering my rating from 4 stars to 2.
Excellent example of the abundance of vegetables and fruit available in Astoria. Truly blessed to have the access to all this healthy food. I think C-Town stands for Chevre Town. :)

I've gone to this place a few times since it was Bravo. Usually, my experience is fine except for the time when the cashier got annoyed with me for not bringing my own shopping bag even though I bought one from her! Today I returned with my small collapsable shopping cart only to learn that this store has instituted a "no personal shopping cart" policy and was told to store my cart and use the ones provided. Those carts are twice the size of mine and will cause even more congestion in the already crowded space between the counters and the exit doors. I've had my cart stolen at a local laundromat, so I'm very careful about leaving it unattended in case someone makes a "mistake." No, thanks. I have other choices and so do your customers.

This particular CTown usually has many items that are expiring or near-expiring. Most recently, I was going to buy a balsamic vinaigrette in the refrigerated organic vegetable section when you first walk in on the left, and the first one I picked up was expired for quite some time. However my biggest gripe with this CTown is that many items are mislabeled on the shelf or have no price tag at all. So, when you go to checkout you get surprised with a different price than you thought, and you guessed it, the rung-up price is always more than the label at the item’s shelf displays. Every time I have disputed the price of an item, which is not often because I used to be a cashier at a wholesale club, an employee or the manager goes to check the price on the shelf and comes back to inform me that the product had no label or the label I was looking at was for something else (so why is the label at the wrong product??). This is incredibly frustrating because in my many years as a cashier, my bosses have always made me override the price that was rung up to the price the customer said the item was because “the customer is always right” (a saying I can’t disagree with more, but that’s besides the point). Today, I bought one thing of orange juice, and I checked the price tag in front of it multiple times because I knew I was going to have an issue at the checkout counter since there are so many brands/types of orange juice in that section. There were two OJ’s for $4.49, so I gambled and picked the one I thought the price tag would be correct for, and of course when the store manager went to check the price he came back and said the one I grabbed didn’t have a tag (meanwhile there was definitely a price tag right below the juice displaying $4.49), and he’d make sure to add a tag to the shelf for it. However, he didn’t offer to refund me the dollar and instead asked if I wanted to return the juice… ridiculous!

Great usage of space and merchandising once you get the lay of the land.

Don’t like this store. The prices are never matched with the prices at the cashier. All the time I go there and say never again. Better to go to Traders Joes or Bj’s, Costco, or Lidle

This CTown is my favorite local supermarket that is fortunately walking distance. It's a pretty big market that has a decent variety of goods.I'm especially impressed with their cold cut and cheese selection. Finally the folks here are extremely friendly and always helpful!

Wide range of international food items, as well as the brand name staples. Bigger than most supermarkets in the area. Well maintained.
